Cinnamonstix-N-Sugar My breeding program has since been retired and joeys homed. Thanks for following our journey. My first gliders came home in June of 2007.

I have a breeding pair and a breeding trio in addition to my non breeding gliders. Of my non breeding, all of my males have been neutered upon coming to live with me. It was not until January of 2011 that we had our first joey. I felt it very important to have an ample amount of time getting to know gliders before deciding to get a breeding pair. Having these little ones around is such a joey but

it is crazy how fast these little babies grow up. I strive to offer sweet joeys that are used to being loved and handled so they will leave from here happy and friendly for their new homes. We do our best to make sure they are hand tamed and bra trained to the fullest of our ability. My breeding pair:
Rafiki is a Classic Grey Colored, 100% Proven Leu Het and 25% Haley Platinum Het Male. Rajah is a Powdered Platinum Colored Mosiac, 100% PROVEN Leu Het, PROVEN Piebald Producer, 25-50% Haley Plat Het Female

My breeding Trio:
Tael is a Crème-ino Mosiac, 100% PROVEN Plat Het, 25% Leu Het, Possible Pied Het Male
Tatl is a Platinum, 100% PROVEN Crème-ino Het, 50% Leu Het Female
Navi is a True Platinum Mosiac, 50% Crème-ino Het, 50% Leu Het Female

***Tael's father is pied. The girls are twin sisters

If anyone has had any bumps, hiccups or downtime VIA the website over the last week, my apologies while I fought to move it to a new host. I ended up just rebuilding and lots of copy and paste from old files. That being said updates are finally being made and I vow to stay more up to date! Next order of buusiness, if anyone would like to submit a new testimonial on an adoption I would love to add it to my site! Send me your text and even photos if you wish to have them shown on my page. Thanks all and stay amazing!

Bathing....this is something that was brought to my attention today VIA a fellow glider breeder. Bathing is unnecessary and unsafe practice. Gliders do not generally ever need a bath. There may be rare situations where they may have gotten into something and become soiled beyond normal repair or in cases of illness or joey rejection where they require some cleaning assistance, but I have seen videos of gliders in bathtubs as well as pools over the years. This is dangerous. They are not naturally subjected to swimming behaviors. In nature they are tree dwelling and granted they may get subjected to rain and sprinkles in the wild, they also are not going out in lakes, ponds and bogs for a quick swim. It is just NOT in their nature. With "swimming" against their natural instincts, you are subjecting them to chemicals in pools, chemicals in your bathtub and the possibility of drowning or aspiration. Aspiration will result in pneumonia or dry drowning, both of which are fatal if not treated. If you have a soiled suggie it is best to cloth clean them and make sure they are fully dry and kept plenty warm until they do dry to ensure they stay happy and healthy. Suggies are not meant to swim, so even if you think they look like they are enjoying it, it is not a practice I can ever encourage or condone. Please just refrain from that sort of behavior! thanks for reading!
