Bluey working at Henty Field Days last month. We ran out of time, just missing the final. A nice practice run leading into his win of the maiden/novice trial at Somerset Kelpies yard dog trial.

Buntal Bluey, has had a good day at the Somerset Kelpies trial ,winning the maiden novice. Bluey was bred by Geordie and Belle in Holbrook, owned and worked by Darcy and Kirby and trialed by Anthony. Bluey had a good couple of runs during the week at Henty field days, and today finished of his good build up.Bluey is by Buntal Oakey, owned by Roland Pell and out of Hazeldel Marley who Geordie works at Holbrook.

Buntal Rocky in the final at Bendigo 1st In the Novice 2nd in the Maiden.

A good result for the Buntal team on the weekend at the Bendigo championship trial. Buntal Rocky won the Novice from 90 dogs and also came in second in the Maiden trial
What a great job the organisers did, and such a great opportunity to showcase the talents of working dogs,well done Rod, David and the extensive team of helpers.
Buntal Rocky is by Glenlyon Deisel out of Buntal Bindi, he works with Rhys and Paul O'Sullivan at Pine Lodge, during the week and joins me at the odd trial.

Training ‘problems’ with our dogs, are actually often struggles with ourselves—against ego, expectation, impatience, frustration, opinion of others, fear of failure or the tendency to blame.

The older I get, the more I realize these struggles can actually be blessings, although sometimes difficult to see in the moment.
The person that we become, in moving past life’s challenges, is often a better version of ourselves.

How you train and your success as a teacher is connected to your mindset. It shows in your dogs attitude, understanding, enthusiasm and quality of work.
Being a good partner to your dog includes a lot of working on and improving yourself—and it is absolutely worth it.

Buntal Bluey in his 2nd trial yesterday he ran an 87 just missing the final. Very happy with how he has moved from farm work to getting it done on the trial ground. Bluey has some pups on the ground atm in Holbrook. Buntal Oakey x Hazeldel Marley.
