Our dogs give us a beautiful reason to step outside, to embrace the warmth of the sunshine and the crispness of fresh air. They remind us of the importance of being present, of slowing down to notice the little things around us, like the rustle of leaves in the breeze or the feeling of the earth beneath our feet. With each wag of their tail, every joyful bark, and the sparkle in their eyes, they encourage us to reconnect with nature and live in the moment. In their company, we find ourselves soaking up life in a way we might have forgotten, rediscovering the joy of exploration, the thrill of simple pleasures, and the deep bond of companionship. Their infectious energy and zest for life are a constant reminder that there's always beauty to be found, as long as we take the time to look up, breathe deeply, and be fully alive.

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my recent competition! I received lots of great suggestions of new outdoor locations for photo sessions!

One of the most popular was Portsoy Old Harbour and it's easy to see why! It's such a lovely location and it really has it all from the sandy beach to the old stone and beautiful harbour.

I had a walk about there last week with my good friend and wonderful photographer Trish Gale and we had a bit of fun scouting the best spots and taking fun portraits of each other (thanks Trish!). Trish is an amazing local photographer and does family sessions, weddings, events, landscapes and everything in between. Check her out at Trish Gale Photography.

I have chosen one lucky winner Shona Reid and her family to receive a free photo session at Portsoy very soon.

I have also decided to choose one more winner Teresa Stevenson for her fab suggestion which is a forest location that I know will also be epic! I'm going for a walk about there soon and looking forward to a photo session with Teresa and her family.

Teresa is a dog walker at Wanderpawz where I know she gives your pups the best outdoor experiences and she is an amazing photographer too (she really should get into pet photography professionally) . When Teresa recommended a location I knew for sure it would be a good one.

Thank again everyone and I look forward to hopefully lots of outdoor photo sessions this year!

Roasty toasty calls for river cool downs,

Heads up to other dog walkers, there are cows along the macduff distillery and moncoffer woods. I got such a fleg, luis just wondered why the lead went on and we we were hiding.
Heard trees cracking and thought it was other walkers or a deer. No huge coos. Lead on and up into the trees to hide and let them past. 🙈

Had the pleasure of sitting this beautifull girl over the weekend.
