Checking out the Netherland dwarf litter this morning and looks like I have a chocolate sable and not 2 Siamese sables. Interesting how they change colours in the first few weeks. These are now a showable colour variety so kind of excited to see how it turns out!

I can hardly contain my excitement about this little doe. Iā€™ve been working towards getting some smoke pearls, and although she is not a smoke pearl, I believe she is a blue seal. This is basically a dark smoke pearl (2 shaded genes) so now Iā€™ll need a REW carrier to get an actual smoke pearl šŸ™‡šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø. Not sure if Iā€™ll ever produce smoke pearls but I feel Iā€™m getting close!

Our first litter of Holland Lop otters did not end up with any actual otters, but there are a couple of tan patterned babies in the nestbox, along with a chestnut and a tort.

Interesting how colour genetics work. The photo with 2 dark Hollandsā€¦.the one on the right is black and on the left is a self chin. The self chin could pass as a seal. Then the picture with the 3 rabbits has the chin on the left. Only difference between chin and self chin is the agouti gene, but such a difference in how they look.

I always feed dandelion greens and plantain during the summer months, and the rabbits love it, but little did I know you can buy it at the local Pet Valu during the long winter months. Thought Iā€™d try some and they highly approve! Poison had her head in the bag before I could reach in and give her some. Thanks for the tip Brookside Hills Fluff Nuggets!

Our first litter of Holland Lop otters did not end up with any actual otters, but there are a couple of tan patterned babies in the nestbox, along with a chestnut and a tort.

Demo #2. Hereā€™s the second video demo on flipping a rabbit. This works for dwarf sized rabbits.

We have 2 videos to share on how to turn a rabbit over. This is handy for nail trims or examinations. Hereā€™s 1 way:

Nail Trimming option 2. Requires 2 people. 1 to hold and 1 to trim

We decided to do a couple videos to demonstrate a couple of ways to trim nails so we thought weā€™d share. Option 1: only requires 1 person and you flip the rabbit over to trim
