One of our youngest volunteers, Sachit, took time out from college and studies to conduct an ARV / vaccination drive in ward 29 (HRBR Layout).

ARV is necessary to keep our beloved indies healthy & safe out on the streets. We just need volunteers to make this happen! Reach out to the squad for guidance on conducting the vaccination drive in your area.

Hey, I am Harmony. I was found 4 months back with my sister Maya.

Recently I got adopted, I was soo happy but my new adoption parent got suddenly a call from work and needed to start working, so I got dropped back.

Yes, I wonder if Hoomans do that with their kids as well, when they realise they have to work, they drop them back in the hospital? Hmm 🤔, I don’t know am just asking myself.

Anyways, am still available. Am a bit shy and need in the first week my Hooman around me, later I’m going to be fine, I promise.

Please get in touch with or in case you know someone who is looking for a loving shy but active dog, am the best addition into a family with kids. 🥰🥰 hope to hear from you soon. Woof 🐶

Hello from the Hennur Canine Squad! It's been a while but that's because we were busy doing what's best for our canines! 🤗

But, let's talk about this incident. Read on... 📖
A few residents in the hennur area had spotted and reported a dog with a water can stuck around his neck for what they guess to be almost a week! So imagine now, that the dog has not been able to eat or drink anything for 7 whole days!!!

As soon as this was reported, HCS members - Lakshmi, Akarsh and Maian tried every possible way, multiple attempts, hours spent to secure this dog for almost 2 days! But in vain, the dog was too fast, too quick, to catch him!
But did they give up?
NOPE!
They reached out for more help to CARE and ASRA. After multiple attempts, ASRA finally secured the dog, removed the can and then sent to CARE to stabilise his food and water intake.

So why we share this, is to let you know that it takes a village to do everything right by a dog! Be a part of that village!🤗
Never, ever be just a bystander! Report and help the animals!
This was quite an episode but its all worth it because the dog is free, safe, and will go on to live a better life henceforth! 🐶❤️

This was quite a Christmas celebration indeed! 🎄🎉

Pet Adoption Drive : Success ✅

What a beautiful, beautiful Sunday it was. Rescuers, fosters, adopters, dog lovers and mainly all the 'puppies' under one roof! 😍😍😍
The pet adoption drive took place at Urban Solace, Ulsoor and the owner of this place, Mr Perry who we are ever grateful to, for sucha lovely venue and for graciously accommodating all of us.❤️
It started off with getting all the fosters and their respective puppies a spot at every corner, middle, top, bottom of the floor. 😁 We made an announcement of compulsory masks and social distancing, although for the space constraint, we managed this to a 50 percent. (we can do better and we will😁) We let in 2 adopters at a time. We had adoption forms laid out on every single table. There were quite a lot of adopters who visited and we had 4 successful adoptions on the spot. And 3 more potential as the talks are happening right now!
We are so happy with the turnout and the aftermath success of this drive, we are already planing for the next one. ❤️
Enjoy these beautiful pictures and videos of the event. Please share it across as we get more indies adopted! 🥰
Gratitude to all the rescuers and fosters for doing such an amazing job in caring and loving our indie babies... We loved how all the puppers were decked up with their cutie patootie bows and collars! 😍

Can we call this heaven? 😍
Yes we can! ❤️

Here's a story of our Little Thor :

A little over a month ago, Little Thor was found by one of our rescuers, walking in the middle of a busy main road near Shriram Luxor, all crunched up, tiny and what looked like a major injury to his behind. It was no surprise, he was taken to Blue Ridge Hospital that instant, only to find out he has a re**al Prolapse.

(Re**al Prolapse may be classified as incomplete (only the innermost re**al layer is protruding) or complete (all re**al layers are protruding). The condition commonly occurs in young dogs that have severe diarrhea or that routinely strain to defecate.)

He was treated immediately and in no time he was put in one of the most loving foster homes that belonged to Shaheen. She took him in, understanding his condition and ensured he got better mentally and physically. Not only did Thor get the love and care from his foster mom, he also got it from his foster brothers, Ramu and Subbu! 😊
He's now the most loving pup, gets along very well with humans as well as dogs! Well behaved, shy yet confident! And he loves to play ball! 🥰
He's vaccinated and Dewormed, all ready to get adopted.

We had an entire team routing for his recovery and now his adoption! 😊 We had some amazing people (Asha, Geetha, Sanjana) to fund his treatment and recovery! Lakshmi who rescued him, Maneesha who found Shaheen to foster Thor and of course, the entire ! 🥰😊

So go ahead, share Thor's story and let's get him adopted quickly! He's ready! 😊❤️

Name : Little Thor
Age : 2.5 months
Gender : Male

Love Tales of Togepie, Jugglypuff, Lali, Thenali 💙✨💙✨

A kind person informed us about a few pups that were dumped in their lane. Since we were feeding other dogs there, we included them as well.
One particular day I got a feeler that it doesnt seem right to leave them there, on the road. Coincidently, it so happened I got acquainted with an animated pawheart lover through Facebook. I got in touch with her, poured my heart to her, she exclaimed "Send them to me" 😄
I was jubilant and next followed travel arrangements for these lil ones to another corner of our city. That two minutes of bravery, those aches in the gut worth a lifetime of blessings, our very own Dr.Akshay sent his van in no time to transport them.
When they reached Pratheeksha's home (our goddess foster mom), she was heartbroken seeing the condition they were in. We quickly rose to the situation before her.
They were given medicated baths, Cerelac and few more products delivered by another kind person i knew.
Eventually, four of them in her hands got very challenging for Pratheeksha, and so another few gruelling moments of finding two of them foster homes begun
Guess what? loving homes found us💛
Our SUPERMAN, Thenali 😍 showed signs of anxiety so I deeply desired for him to be adopted with his beautiful sister Lali ❣ Prayers answered, both went together to a lovely home, a month back 😍

While our children Jugglypuff and Togepie are enjoying their virgin coconut oil massages, with apple cider vinegar baths, our goddess foster mom sprinkling them with oodles of MAGIC, putting them in her bag, taking them to super market, they are still looking for their forever homes!

So give ne a call or DM me if you'd like to adopt these popcorns! ❤️

Vaccinated and Dewormed!
3 months old, both females!

PS : Home checks and post adoption checks will be done. We would also prefer they get adopted to the same home.

"HOPE"
All she feels and all that she has to express is written on her skin. She restores are soul each time we take a step to reach out to rescue a furry child !
Hope, with her siblings were put in a suitcase and burnt by a couple of kids! Yes, KIDS. And Hope was the only dog that managed to survive, against all odds. Hope is the reason a community of good samaritans came together to do everything they could to bring justice to the poor puppies who went through this gruesome death, to honour all canines and ensure such a horrific situation never, ever occurs again.
Hope was fostered, brought to good health and finally got adopted to a loving family through the help of Charlie Animal Rescue Center (CARE). It definitely takes a village to do everything right by a dog. We would do it over and over again to all canines as a community that stands against cruelty of animals.
Hope is our Mascot for the Hennur Canine Squad.
Hennur Canine Squad is a group who's focus is to neuter, vaccinate, rescue, protect and care for our community dogs, while also aiming to achieve a peaceful animal-human coexistence.
