THERAPY HIGHLIGHT DogTread® Land Treadmill Therapy The DogTread treadmill is easier on a dog because it was designed specifically with them in mind! It is equipped with shock absorption platforms that result in less stress on the joints, as compared with running on asphalt or concrete. The length is designed to provide an adequate running platform that enables your dog to stride out in comfort. The dog treadmill platform gives us an unobstructed view to watch your dog’s gait for any abnormalities. One of the best conditioning exercises you can provide for your dog is the extended trot gait for approximately 20 minutes. This weight-bearing exercise works both sides of the body evenly. Plus we can keep track of mileage and time. There are many more activities that can be done on a dog treadmill including strength exercises, interval training and more. For dogs that are obese, our treadmill will help get your dog to move slowly without distractions and undue stress on the joints. Plus we can stop the workout if your dog is fatigued.
