:( I have some sad news :(

Unfortunately I have been seeing a significant increase in rawhide dog chews recently, and that makes me die a bit inside 💔

It may be something that not everyone is aware of and so it's something I've discussed with many people over recent weeks, rawhide is DANGEROUS!!!!

I know photos from the internet don't cut it and aren't always factual, but unfortunately I received the sad (but ending positively) news today that one of my customers had been giving their dog certain rawhide chew without realising what it was. This has unfortunately resulted in surgery due to swelling and causing an internal blockage :(

Thankfully the dog is now on the mend with crate rest and antibiotics and the rawhide treats have been binned 🎉

This is just a friendly reminder to check the ingredients with what you're feeding your dog, I'm not sure how or why it is still legal and sold in shops but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not give your dog rawhide :(

🚗 Vehicle update 🚗

I now have a vehicle 🎉🎉
Tomorrow I will be getting all the details changed over so it's legal on the road and getting it set up for the dogs again.

Normal services will resume from Monday 🎉🎉

🚗 A little vehicle update 🚗

After lots of online shopping, phone calls and emails, I'm off to see another car tomorrow so cross all your fingers and toes that it will be good enough to come straight home with and I'll hopefully be back on the road VERY soon 🤞🏽

The straw that broke the camels back. Unfortunately all services excluding live in stays are currently on hold :(

Whilst working today I drove over what has turned out to be a loose/broken drain cover in Buckden, an almighty bang/jolt of my vehicle. I carried on going as was visiting a house just round the corner and checked my tyres all of which seemed ok so I assumed I'd just hit a pot hole. As all seemed ok so I then returned home as the route was local and through village roads but there were no pot holes in that area to be seen. I have since been informed by a local that there had previously been a cone in place warning of a cracked drain.

I went to use my car again for this evening group social walk and the steering isn't right (I have to steer left in order to go in a straight line), it's also making a horrible clunking noise and a grinding noise if turning a corner. Obviously I didn't continue with my journey.

I will be getting a new car, sooner rather than later but please bare with me while I work on this.
Tomorrow's clients have already been contacted.

I'll hopefully have a better update tomorrow 🤞🏼

It's with great sadness I'm announcing the sad passing of this Happy soul Marley 💔

Unfortunately after just a 3 week battle with Lymphoma Cancer Marley passed away a week ago just shy of 10 years old. We may not have seen him recently as he moved away to the coast but he was with us from early days for twice daily walks and live in stays. We've been on train, bus and taxi rides together before I was driving, I've had to carry him home from the pub after our morning walks (not an exaggeration), a creature of habit he LOVED fishing for rocks and making a pile just to go back in for more ❤️

He's a special soul, a gentle giant (and a heavy one when it came to passing the pub).

Our thoughts are with his owners as he played a very big part in their life and will sorely be missed by many 💔

RIP Marley 💔❤️

The boy did me proud ❤️

Super busy weekend for us racing with Sirius Stars Flyball Team, Cooper was in 3 teams across the 2 days which is the most he's done and I really didn't expect him to keep his head together, but he did, and he didn't put a paw wrong... We won't discuss his handlers mistakes though 😅

The first time he's been a start dog in a team line up as well, so now he's proved he can be in any position (again we won't discuss his handlers start times 😅).

I have ached in places I didn't know could ache but it's worth it just to see the dogs happy ❤️

Unfortunately the traffic in and around St. Neots recently has been absolutely appalling!!!!!!!!!!

Group walks typically take between an hour and a half to 2 hours depending on which dogs are in the group with pick ups and drop offs but today it's taken between 4 and a half to 5 hours all down to traffic caused by road closures and roadworks.

To name just a few the below areas are the main cause of the horrendous traffic...
• Paxton bridge (closed due to flooding and lifted tarmac)
• Unpredictable 4 way traffic lights in town (not working or stuck on red)
• Temporary traffic lights by B&M
• A421 closure (causing diversions via St. Neots)
• Road closure at Buckden Marina (due to flooding)
• Roadworks at loves farm
• Brook street closed (due to flooding)

I'm attempting to shuffle walks around for minimal disruption but it's something that is unfortunately beyond my control :(

Loki kept telling me off because he wanted to play, but he wasn't allowed to do much when this was taken due to being in recovery from an injury. Lyra however is in it for a much more chilled life and really wanted to sunbathe... Only the sun kept disappearing 🤣

We don't see these 2 all that often but when we do, we have a great time ❤️

Day sits are available for various species and are adapted based on their needs, but please not if your dog can't be left for a short period these make be slightly more limited unfortunately 🐾🐕🐈

Group structured walks are typically a maximum of 4 dogs (occasionally 5), we believe in the importance of allowing dogs to mix with others where suitable but ensuring that the engagement with their handler is stronger than the want to play with another dog.

Our group structured walks are on/off lead or with the use of long lines so we can work on this, but also teaching them to respect the space of other dogs and keeping behaviours calm and understand control. We have fun, but we have boundaries. Some dogs in our group walks have been built up over time to build confidence with different dogs, have worked through reactivity so they can be comfortable in a small group without other dogs bouncing all over them, but also for over friendly dogs to tone down their excitement and learn some manners ❤️🐾

We have spaces available for these group structured walks, so message us if you'd like your dog to join 🐾

These are 60min walks excluding pick up/drop off

This might not look like much to most but for Willow we've been working hard on gaining confidence to work away from me. Environmentally we've not yet come across anything that phases her, but she has been apprehensive about working away from her handler (excluding obsessive ball chasing). This was a very proud moment for us ❤️ If you are interested in adopting Willow, please do get in touch as she is looking for her forever home 🏡

Down stays while rearranging the Cavaletti jumps 🥰 Willow is a foster who is looking for her forever home. If you or anyone you know may be interested please don't hesitate to get in touch ❤️ She's young, friendly, super trainable with food or toys and quite frankly is just such a lovely and enjoyable dog ❤️

The last trip to our favourite open field as unfortunately this is now a private field :( I've had to leave the original audio in as I just couldn't control myself, I really wish this was zoomed in and in slow motion because the look on Buddy's face was priceless 🙈 And yes he went through it again after 🤣
