Update on Lorrie: 💘

First, I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support, prayers, and advice over the weekend. Your kind words have meant so much to us!

We were initially advised to keep Lorrie at Pet Specialist of Austin until we could speak with an oncologist on Monday. However, when we were told that she wouldn’t make it through the weekend, we made the difficult decision to bring her home on Friday. Once home, Lorrie began to show signs of improvement.

Today, we were fortunate to secure an appointment with Dr. Stein at AVES, who provided us with a much more hopeful outlook. Lorrie is now starting both oral and IV chemotherapy. While we understand that this is just the beginning of a challenging battle against her cancer, we are incredibly grateful for the care and perseverance from the AVES team— just like us, they haven’t given up on her. ❤️

Thank you again to everyone who has sent love, advice, and positive energy. It has made a real difference in this tough time! 🫶
