today was Trinity’s first taste of off leash hiking - her long line was dropped for about 80% of the time we were out! (basically minus entering and leaving the trail)
she did such an amazing job of staying tuned in to me, responding to changes in direction and the occasional callback - all necessary skills for hiking off leash! way to go, Trinity 💕

2021 was a wild ride. There were plenty of changes and challenges - both personally and worldwide. I left my longterm job, briefly worked somewhere new, and then made the decision to venture out on my own to start Tall Tails. Although I still have a ways to go, I’m so excited with how far I’ve come.
There have been moments, out on my hikes and walks, where I’m filled with immense gratitude. I can’t believe that I’m able to do what I’m doing as a full time career. Being out on the trails with the dogs brings me so much peace and happiness, that it doesn’t feel like work at all. This is how I have always wanted to feel when working at a job - truly happy with what I am able to offer and do.
Thank you so much to those in this community who have welcomed me with open arms, offering advice or even just reacting to the things that I post. I was a little nervous starting out that I would feel as though I was in competition with other businesses offering pet services, but have been shown the opposite is true - there’s room for all of us in this community.
I have a lot of growing to do, and I’m excited to see what 2022 brings. 🐾
GROUP HIKE SPOTS AVAILABLE!
We have spots available for our weekly group hikes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10:00am. You don’t need to reserve a spot for all three days - you can sign up for just one or two if you’d prefer!
We are also putting together group hikes on Thursdays at both 10am and 2pm.
At Tall Tails we keep group hikes to a maximum of 5 dogs per person to ensure everyone’s safety and to allow your pup to get some individual attention (and photoshoots! 😉) Message us today to set up your FREE meet & greet so we can figure out exactly what you and your pup are looking for 💕
