Recently our team received an adult Western Screech Owl #1636 who was adhered to a rat glue trap. When this owl arrived, it was given an initial exam that reported a depressed attitude and extensive glue contamination. To go forth with helping this creature, the team developed the plan to first remove the owl from the trap, followed by a physical exam.

Once the owl was removed from the trap and steps were taken to monitor its well-being and physical status, our team decided to move this owl to The Ojai Raptor Center

After 13 days in care, we were happy to see that the removal of this raptor was a success and that it would be recovering in the care of our colleagues!

I've been noticing more and more folks claiming to teach liberty training yet they are using a round pen or a rope halter or some other physical means of control over the horse. This isn't liberty training. Liberty is done purely through body language, the understanding of equine instincts and herd behaviors.....no tack, no round pens, no flags, no clickers, no gimmicky halters, no punishments....
