The Kind Farm Horse Rescue

The Kind Farm Horse Rescue The Kind Farm Inc. save horses from slaughter, neglect and racing/sporting injury. Horses are healed pysically and emotionally.

We train/retrain with consent, liberty and reward based training. The horses are then adopted into loving forever homes. 🤍🐴 The Kind Farm is a Horse Rescue Network based in Australia. We rescue and rehabilitate horses who have been discarded and displaced and would otherwise be slaughtered. When horses are ready for their next loving chapter they are re-homed in to loving fur-ever adoption homes.

I put together this video to share what is all about. As you know we are a small charity and your support is life saving to horses in need. If you feel to, I would be grateful for you to share. With more support, we can help more horses.

Thanks too the beautiful wonderful patient kind and skilled Alani many of the forces are now actually enjoying having hooves done. It's a team effort when it comes to getting horses who are traumatized and need hoof care. The horses are blessed to be supported by the expertise of Jason Proctor, Skye and other volunteers and I'm forever learning. Thanks to everyone who supports the horses in whatever way they can.- it's been a wonderful year for The Kind Farm and I'm excited for the future of our horses and all the other horses we will rescue. A huge thanks to Alani for sweating it out yesterday in the heat. Trimming hooves is not easy at the best of times, especially with some of our horses who have individual needs physically and emotionally x

This is such an example of doing what it takes to get the care to a horse who is timid and traumatised like dear Arthur. When it comes to caring for the horses some of our approaches are very creative and resourceful, and most importantly respectful and kind and gentle and to keep listening to the horses to see what they're comfortable with. Because Arthur isn't comfortable with us lifting his legs and to be honest, I'm not that comfortable with either because of his tendency to react or panic when he feels restricted, we're just working with him and his level of comfort because he's quite confident putting his hoof on the stand. I just trim it from an unusual position session by session. We all get more confident until after can be trimmed by a normal Hoof Trimmer in the normal way.

Sunny has been with us for a few years and honestly, I thought he just wanted to be left alone. We've done a little bit together however this exercise really seems to be enjoyable to Sunny. He's always keen to participate and canters up from the other other side of the field when I go near this little training area. I'm so inspired by and grateful for wonderful horse people like Nadine for sharing their beautiful and insightful way of being with horses. I'm forever grateful for the beauty, innocence and curiosity of the Horse.
I love the moments when the stars and weather and other duties align and I get to play and learn together with the horses.

Goldie pushed through his fence into Teddy and Aragorn's paddock. He's loving life with his new friends. 💛

Teddy and Aragorn are such powerful and courageous horses. They're still working out who's boss and playing a lot. They're very well matched not only by the appearance - also by their personalities. Here they are having a nice gentle moment this morning. thanks Sarah for this video.

Send your love to beautiful and courageous Teddy. We recently moved him off the property. He was on and thought he would have a good time with Thor and Tara now that he is so strong and powerful.
Teddy is just a young horse and he wasn't expecting Thor to be so aggressive. After one day Teddy looked quite depressed and we moved him into the paddock with Aragorn. Things are much more harmonious now and I'm just fencing a larger paddock so Teddy can have more room to run around and enjoy himself.
