Before I had my 17 yo daughter, who works at Mutts dog park as a "Bark Ranger", I ran (as a volunteer) the foster/volunteer program and The Humane Society of North Texas for four years. Currently I help with a Doodle Res

cue when needed. Our house is kind of special so I was asked sometimes if someone could have their pets stay here. Our pup clients and their parents love it here. The pup parents often wish to stay also because we treat the pups as if they were on vacation catering to every need they have. I have had so many tags and people referring me that I am making a page just to see what we do here on the lake. I do this for referrals and dogs/pets that we know. When you come to Camp Melly's chances are your pet will be the only ones here for a staycation. I do not do this for a living nor do I want to. Your pet will have our undivided attention the entire time. Photos and videos will be sent to you thru out the day. If your pet has special needs they are taken care of without you having to worry. We are a work from home family and someone is usually here 24/7.

Today I was the Dog Attendant at the wedding of Coconut’s parents.
What a beautiful day full of love, and lots of dog lovers.
The rescue Saving Hope was there featuring some puppies for adoption.

Doods At Weddings.
Coconut has been coming here since I started watching dogs.
Her parents are getting married tomorrow at the Drover, here in Fort Worth. Tonight‘s rehearsal went really well and everyone loved her.
If you need a dog attendant or know someone that would be interested, let them know. I’m much cheaper than most people that provide this service.

I always find a friend.
I think she was use to playing ball with whom ever seemed pup friendly.
Makes me miss my pups even more though.

I can’t wait to help share their day. I love Cocunut and her parents so much. She’ll be the best ring bearer ever.

Happy Thanksgiving from Doods in Docks!
Today I would like to thank all my parents and pups who have trusted me with your babies all year. I’m forever grateful and full of thanks.
I love all of your pups and treat them like a member of the family.
Here’s my little Thanksgiving day bunch this year. What a great group.

This was a foster of mine over 5 years ago. One I would of kept.
You all know I have a love for To Kill A Mockingbird.
At the time I had Scout, Boo, & Dill so I named her Harper Lee.
When I got her she had to have an eye removed because it was bulging out of the socket. Imagine the pain.
Since that time she has come to visit me and meet up with her sister that lives in Arlington.
This week she had the cataracts removed on the other eye so she could see. During the surgery they found that the retina was detached. Her momma didn’t think twice, she booked a flight from Denver to Kansas City that day to see a specialist.
Surgery is done. 5 sutures later it’s a waiting game.
This was a foster that I would if kept but she has a life even I couldn’t provide for the living in Colorado and hiking.
She goes to work and sits at her mommas feet under the bench when mom’s in court.
She actually wears these glasses to protect her eyes.
Isn’t she precious!

This week I had a old guy. You know I’m a sucker for Senior dogs. A Boston terroir mix named Cueball! So sweet.

This sweet boy Odie. He was so shy for the first few days but by the end of his visit he was wrestling and playing with the big dogs. He let me clip his nails and cuddled with me while I watched TV. During the 4 of July weekend all of the guests who came over fell in love with him.
It’s so much fun seeing a shy dog come out of his shell and have the best time on their staycations.

It’s too hot today to hang on the dock so it’s inside playtime, discovering new toys, and then Melly’s favorite. Nap time in the cave.

Holmes is on vacation this weekend. His dad’s in the military at the base here on Lake Worth. He’s my first client ever from the JRB. Can’t wait to hang out with him all weekend.
