Hi all. The other day I went in for what I thought was going to be a routine fix on a leak on my radiator tubes. They told me that my whole heater core is rotted out and it's a 15-hour job and would be over $3,000 to fix my 2000 Honda Odyssey with 280,000 miles on it. The van is not worth even close to that. I have been putting water in the radiator pretty much every time I leave to go anywhere. That will not work once it gets freezing out. I don't have a lot of money but I think I can spend about $1,000-$1,500 on a newer vehicle. I know that's not going to get me a lot but I really just need something to get me through the winter so I can continue to get to and from work. If anyone out there has a vehicle that they're not using or are looking to get rid of that's in decent shape still that they're willing to sell cheap to help out a friend or family member or just a neighbor I would be truly grateful. I'm looking for an SUV primarily but a truck with an extended cab would do. Thank you all in advance.
