Everyone loves a feel-good story,
How about a senior feel-good story about one of the sweetest senior Anita's I've had the pleasure of meeting, Zethina.
The struggle was real, and her mama Angelica reached out to me @angsharpee, and we got to work on devising the best protocol for Zethina to begin feeling better.
She was really itchy, really red and scratching.
There was some yeast, her immune system on high alert, and quite a bit of gut inflammation given her skin condition.
We started with our much loved "We Got the Power Bundle" added a soft mask I made especially for Zethina after her visiting and our Aloha Blue Bubbles and Bath Shampoo.
Mama decided to switch to raw food ( best to do things slowly always when a dog is struggling)
Incorporated organic kefir, which is pre - and probiotic
Her r brother Titus helped with grooming his sis and licking up any excess HEAL Salve 😆
There were ups and downs, more scratching, and Zethina getting the cone off when mom was gone ro work.
As you see by the pics, Zethina is transforming, and tbat includes her hair growing back.
I am so impressed with Angelica who just forged ahead and stuck to it.
It's tough when you see your pet struggling, and you just want them to be ok.
It's easy tempting to reach for pharmaceuticals to take care of the problem, which really mostly masks it instead of addressing and healing the root cause.
So today, I give a big shout out to Zethina and her mom
She's a senior at 7, and it can take a little longer to see real progress, but look at her now.
They made the drive down recently for a visit with her siblings

Our new treat inspired by ACE a sweet senior rescue is available on our new website
ACE lived loved and ha a wonderful life with his dad Anthony.
He passed last fall and we wanted to honour him and his ability to melt the hearts and minds of stereotypes
We will be donating a portion to The Ontario Coalition Against Breed-Specific Legislation
We love all dogs and a special soft spot for bullies and rescues.
