So we should be halfway through the first morning of the conference right now, but the world had other plans.

Work is continuing behind the scenes so that we can aim to bring you the event when it is safe to do so.

Thank you for sticking with us and please continue to check for updates and share with your friends.

Have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone! Sorry we've been a bit quiet, things have been going on behind the scenes and we wanted to wait to update until we knew what was happening...

We still don't know what's happening! 😂 Other than the conference is quite clearly NOT happening next month.

We thought about bringing it to you online, as we have seen and participated in lots of great online learning during lockdown, like many others. It's great that it can work, but it's not what we wanted to do.

We are still hoping to see everyone in person, when it is safe enough for us all.

So for now, we just want to say to you all to stay safe and well, and we very much hope to see you soon. When we have more information we will bring it to you.

Many thanks to all our amazing speakers for bearing with us 🙌

We hope you are all keeping safe and well during the current situation.

Be assured we are monitoring government advice and guidelines closely, and should we need to postpone the conference to a later date we will do so.

There is a slight change to our speaker schedule, and we are very excited to be hosting Hannah Oliver-Byrne of Combined Physio, talking about the impact of controlling equipment on our dogs. Updates will be posted in due course.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Hope to see you this summer!

Our final speaker on Saturday 4th July is the fantastic Carole Justice Gray, who is doing not one, but two talks!

Carole Justice Gray is the vice chairperson of Canine Bowen Technique Association (CBTA see www.cbta.org.uk) and authorised teacher of Canine Bowen Technique for EGCBT (European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists). She has been working as a Human & Canine Bowen Practitioner since 2009 in Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire as well as travelling far afield working with dogs. In 2014 after working with and shadowing Sally & Ron Askew (the pioneers of the technique in the UK) for over two years in both the UK and Switzerland, Carole began running and teaching the established EGCBT Canine Bowen Technique self-Interest and practitioner courses in the UK with fellow Canine Bowen Technique practitioner Eileen Smith. Carole has taught, given talks, lectures, webinars and written press articles across the UK, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

Carole has grown up with dogs – mainly Dachshunds and Golden Retrievers - and is now firmly in love with Hungarian Vizsla’s. She lived without a dog only when working in London as an advertising producer in the 1990’s. During this time she satisfied her love of animals by developing a keen interest in horses later becoming involved in Equine and Canine behaviour and training. As a result of this Carole was given a truly special and sensitive Hungarian Vizsla, who along with her own return from ill health (M.E.) firmly established her obsession with complementary therapies and creating the most positive relationships you can with dogs.

The European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists was founded by Sally & Ron Askew who developed the adaption of Bowen for use on dogs in the UK from 2001. Bowen therapists and experienced canine professionals Sally & Ron Askew integrated their finding into their established canine behavioural and rehabilitation work and in 2003 with the collaboration of their veterinarian, designed a professional program of training with an holistic approach, for people wishing to become properly skilled Canine Bowen Technique therapists. The course has been running in the UK since 2004 and the EGCBT Practitioner course in Canine Bowen Technique is currently the only course in Bowen for dogs recognised for CPD by both the Bowen Therapy Professional Association (BTPA) and Bowen Association UK.

The Canine Bowen Technique Association (CBTA) was formed at the end of 2017 by a small group of Canine Bowen Technique Practitioners who had been trained by and accredited with the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists (EGCBT). CBTA replaced the European Guild of Canine Bowen Therapists, after 31st December 2017 when the founders of EGCBT (Sally and Ron Askew) retired in December 2017 and gave their permission and support for the CBTA to continue their pioneering work with dogs.

For further information about Carole, Canine Bowen Technique and the training courses available please see www.caninebowentechnique.com & www.cbta.org.uk
