Dee and I had our first advanced start at Shirley heights mid week, winning the class with 68 percent. Despite him neighing a lot in warm up (Linda had Matilda at venue, zero interest from her, so very much a love affair from Dee’s prospective only) he worked well in test. Quite sentimental that I am riding in my late friends, Katy Welsh’s double bridle. 😢

Jana (Superclass TAE) taking the most beautiful photo at lakes and craters on the weekend. 3rd after dressage, clear show jump then possibly the slowest 65 cross country of the event (but she looked stunning entire round). Looking forward to more events next year

Boneo today ; little snippet of Dee and I placing 5th (65.6) in medium 4.2 test in a competitive field. Often get imposter syndrome in ring 1 warm up but decided we belong there today. Hopefully positive mindset can hang around for Lakes and craters next weekend 🤞

Most massive congrats to student Kylie Woodstock and her lovely mare “Inner Bloom” (Rosie) on their recent win of the prelim at Shirley Heights Official Dressage day. Kylie also placed in other prelim class. The week prior they came 2nd at Yarra Valley EA dressage too. It’s been a journey but you are in the honeymoon stage .

ASPR dressage champs WPNEC today. Dicavalli Dimitri and I got 5th and 6th place in medium classes. Lovely colorful rosettes and great day with my Dee. Thanks to Stacey Akers for his treatment this week ! He loves his acupuncture and massage.

Hey all, just quick thought for anyone thinking of purchasing a jump saddle. I have fallen in love with my Erreplus JF jump saddle. They are Italian made, fully adjustable, have a narrow twist, close contact, beautiful looking saddle. I feel in better balance and Goody seems to agree. Enjoyed freshman’s showjumping Friday at Shirley Height’s equestrian centre on the Goodstar. Followed by Jana doing couple freshman’s rounds on Saturday at Tonimbuk. Video in comments as won’t let me post here. Roll on first eventing start ! #Oneeyedfrogphotography

Wind, rain and second test bit of hail in the mix at boneo dressage competition today. Bug wasn’t sure wanted to participate, but convinced him. Managed a second and third place in official preliminary and just under 70 percent both classes. Huge thanks to Leah Simmons for the impromptu videoing
