TRAINING TIP SATURDAY!

When working on Stays and Come keep them guessing!
If you do a stay followed by a come every time you practice your dog will slowly loose their hold on a stay and overstep in order to come to you however, keeping things "crazy" keeps your dog from reading your mind and solidifies their commands.

Are you new to one of Crosstown's group classes OR are you a little unsure of what to bring to group class? Here are some DO's and DONT's

Friendly reminder our basic and good citizen group classes begin very soon!!! Slots are closing very quickly!

These classes cost $50 and cover 6 weeks worth of lessons from impulse controls to leash manners there is a spot for everyone in our class.

Don't forget about our PACK WALK on September 13th!

We will begin at 7am on the Lake Wales Trail (off N Lakeshore Blvd), no training is required only a leash, owner and, happy pup!

This walk is for other dog lovers to get to know each other, exercise their pets or, knock off some requirements for the American Kennel Club's FIT Dog program

Join us on September 21st for a doggy social!

From 10am-11am we will be hosting another agility try-it as well as canine good citizen, trick dog, and virtual at home manners testing for all the overachievers.

We will also be offering FREE pup-cups for tired pups in need of a refresher after their agility run.

This walk will count as an American Kennel Club FIT Dog walk, come join us as we watch the sunrise around Lake Wales Lake with your pooch and other local dog lovers.

EXCITING NEWS ‼️4-H, FFA, and FCLAA members ‼️

The Polk County Youth Fair will be hosting a Workshop for those interested in participating in the dog show! Get hands-on experiences with the best of the best in each sport as well as ask any questions you have about the event.

LEAVE YOUR OWN DOG AT HOME FOR THIS EVENT!
This is mainy for kids to learn and understand the rules, as well as focus on the demonstrations infront of them, not their pup.

Good Girl Zia is a proud graduate of our group classes.

Originally she struggled with heeling on leash, recalls, and attention with lots of hard work from her mom and guidence from her teacher Zia graduated top of her class and even came to our agility fun day to show other dogs her skills!

Don't forget to sign up for our group class BEFORE August 26th!

AUGUST 26th we will begin our group classes again! Both of these obedience classes are amazing and designed perfectly for puppies, young dogs, and those who just wanna strengthen their bond with their pup!

Would you be surprised if I said you have to work with your dog for it to have manners? Just like with kids, working on a manner for an hour doesn’t mean they’re masters at it. Dogs require the same structure as us to thrive and be successful regardless if they’re a pet, service dog, or show dog. If you want a good dog you’ll have to put the work in!
