Family feline friends Friday!

After Stimpy passed away, my dad was devastated. Even though he was originally against having a cat AND a dog, Stimpy became my dad's best bud after I moved out.

Less than a month after Stimpy's passing, my mom, my sons, and I went to the Bergen County Animal Shelter and adopted this handsome boy, Patches. He became attached to my dad immediately, more than to anyone else in the family.

Patches crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2019, just over a year after my dad's passing. I'm sure their souls are together again ❤️.

Feline family friends Friday!

Stimpy joined our family back in the late 80s 😊. He and his siblings and mom were found in one of the warehouses of the company I worked for at the time. When the kittens and mom were finally trapped to be taken to the local shelter, this guy was missing! The next day, some of the workers heard his little cries for help behind a wall. They busted it open and got him out safely. However, it was a holiday weekend and the shelter was closed. I volunteered to care for him over the weekend (we had a dog at the time), and he ended up becoming a part of our family (no surprise there!). He was a sweet, playful boy, and became our dog's best friend ❤️.
