As we struggle with the worst overpopulation crisis in a decade. As we watch thousands of dogs be euthanized for nothing more than space it’s time for a reminder….
Hey you! Yes you! The one breeding your dogs. It’s time to stop! You are literally breeding them faster than we can save them. We are drowning!!!! Shelters and rescues across the US are swimming in dogs. Don’t believe us? Go look for yourself. It’s absolutely heartbreaking 😞
And maybe you don’t care. We can only guess it’s because you’ve never walked through a shelter and seen the 100s of lives begging to get out. Begging to have a home and a chance. They don’t want to die and shelter staff don’t want to euthanize them. But here you are adding more dogs to the overwhelming numbers of dogs we already have. I guess you don’t have a moral compass. Who would continue to breed for profit when 1,000’s are dying? Oh that’s right you will….
They are more than just dogs to us! They are living, breathing beings capable of feeling every once of pain or discomfort their short lives bestow on them. But you don’t see that. What you see is an easy way to make a few bucks. You say you breed because it’s your All American right. It’s a free country and you have choices. Well what about their right to live? Do your rights somehow have more value than their lives? I suppose you will say yes, they’re just animals after all. But you see that attitude, that mindset it’s what is wrong in communities nationwide! You are the reason the rest of us, you know the ones who care, keeping picking up the pieces.
WE ARE TIRED! And quite honestly we are DONE. We’re done with the mess! Done with the heartache and we’re done watching senseless deaths so you can make a few more dollars. If you had any sort of heart or even a little bit of common sense you’d look around at what you’ve created and you’d do one simple thing….you’d STOP!
