Every holiday season, those of us who can, open our hearts to give back! Most of us feel that giving is the least we can do for all the things we are grateful to have received over the past year. While we sit down for Thanksgiving dinner this year, many of us will be with family and friends, in a warm house with plenty of food to fill our tummies. Please think of other living, breathing creatures that share this earth with us that give back, without even trying! While we are proponents of “Giving begins at home,” the concept of home can also include the earth as our collective home. Please find a cause, human, animal, nature, to give back to this holiday season. If you are unsure about who or what to give your gift of thanks to, consider giving to the babies at Lauren’s lost Cats. Help us spay,neuter and feed them. We truly are thankful to anything you can give! We hope that you and yours are blessed this holiday season and throughout the coming new year! This bonded sister pair are Sparkle and Misty. The photos clearly show the difference between these two, not only physically but emotionally…Sparkle is the extrovert who will come right up to you asking for pets. Misty, on the other hand is quite content with Sparkle initiating relationship. Not “scared” but more subdued and introspective, Misty will slowly approach you. She is easily handled and purrs like a motor boat! They love each other and love the human feeding and caring for them. They make a balanced team of personality and cuteness.

This is Plum Pudding and Peach Marmalade. They are a bonded pair I foster for Project Meow. The third pic is of Plum and Peach with their mom, Zena. She is also up for adoption. In a perfect world, these three would be adopted together. Momma, Zena is young and playful and absolutely adores her kittens. Do you have a perfect world scenario for this small family? If not, Peach Marmalde and Plum Pudding are waiting for someone to make them apart of their family!! They are sweet & playful…the perfect blend. Peach will lay beside you, on you, around you and purr his heart out! Plum will play with anything you can dangle in front of her! They are just over 4 months old and absolutely adorable together! This is Blondie. He is one silly cat! He is 1 of 6 brothers trapped in Broomall, Delaware County. He and his brother Oreo are the last of the bros to go. Blondie gets along with other cats. He loves treats and is most lovable during the late night hours and morning, especially in the bathroom…your guess is as good as mine!? Blondie will do well on his own, however, Oreo most likely will not. Oreo is very bonded to his brother and took a long time to come around to human connections. He now loves petting in the morning and after waking up from a nap. He will not tolerate being picked up…yet….I think over time, with growing trust, he will come around. Oreo, also gets along well with other cats. Blondie and Oreo are almost inseparable here at their foster home. They would love to go together to a forever home where they can wrestle and run and play the day long. They especially love to lay in the sun together.

This is the shy an illusion Thomasino. We call him Thom-Thom. It took this handsome little man, 3 months to make his presence known. Once he did, he became a favorite of all! Thom is adorable. The pictures don’t do him justice. All the cats seem to get along with him. I love the way he quietly meows and rubs against everything in his way to get attention! Very cute! I cannot help myself when he flashes his pretty peepers my way! What a doll! This 1 year 7 month old, neutered cutie is FIV and FeLV Negative, up-to-date on shots and ready to make you fall in love! Of course, you may have to wait a few weeks before he shows himself, but don’t worry, he will come out at night and when no one is watching. Just leave litter, food and water. He will take care of the rest!

This one-eyed wonder is Shorty Llanerch! He is about 7 months old. Shorty is shy, quiet and playful! He gets along with other cats. He is simply a darling! I am fostering him through Project Meow. This beauty was trapped on Thursday, January 30 at the corner of 56th and Florence, 19143. She came back already spayed with unregistered chip and FeLV positive. Very sweet! Already have someone lined up to adopt her if an owner doesn’t come forward. Spread the word...someone might be grieving the loss of their beautiful cat?

UPDATE : Opal is being fostered with intent to adopt and Mila has been placed with Kelly’s (Geriatric) Cats!

In preparation for adoption, I took Opal and Mila to the PSPCA on Erie Ave. Opal needed an antibiotic for her cough and Mila had a full panel bloodwork done. The results should be back tomorrow. I want all my beautiful fosters to be well when they finally get a forever home!
