Every holiday season, those of us who can, open our hearts to give back! Most of us feel that giving is the least we can do for all the things we are grateful to have received over the past year. While we sit down for Thanksgiving dinner this year, many of us will be with family and friends, in a warm house with plenty of food to fill our tummies. Please think of other living, breathing creatures that share this earth with us that give back, without even trying! While we are proponents of “Giving begins at home,” the concept of home can also include the earth as our collective home. Please find a cause, human, animal, nature, to give back to this holiday season. If you are unsure about who or what to give your gift of thanks to, consider giving to the babies at Lauren’s lost Cats. Help us spay,neuter and feed them. We truly are thankful to anything you can give! We hope that you and yours are blessed this holiday season and throughout the coming new year! This bonded sister pair are Sparkle and Misty. The photos clearly show the difference between these two, not only physically but emotionally…Sparkle is the extrovert who will come right up to you asking for pets. Misty, on the other hand is quite content with Sparkle initiating relationship. Not “scared” but more subdued and introspective, Misty will slowly approach you. She is easily handled and purrs like a motor boat! They love each other and love the human feeding and caring for them. They make a balanced team of personality and cuteness.

This is Plum Pudding and Peach Marmalade. They are a bonded pair I foster for Project Meow. The third pic is of Plum and Peach with their mom, Zena. She is also up for adoption. In a perfect world, these three would be adopted together. Momma, Zena is young and playful and absolutely adores her kittens. Do you have a perfect world scenario for this small family? If not, Peach Marmalde and Plum Pudding are waiting for someone to make them apart of their family!! They are sweet & playful…the perfect blend. This is Blondie. He is one silly cat! He is 1 of 6 brothers trapped in Broomall, Delaware County. He and his brother Oreo are the last of the bros to go. Blondie gets along with other cats. He loves treats and is most lovable during the late night hours and morning, especially in the bathroom…your guess is as good as mine!? Blondie will do well on his own, however, Oreo most likely will not. Oreo is very bonded to his brother and took a long time to come around to human connections. He now loves petting in the morning and after waking up from a nap. He will not tolerate being picked up…yet….I think over time, with growing trust, he will come around. Oreo, also gets along well with other cats. Blondie and Oreo are almost inseparable here at their foster home. They would love to go together to a forever home where they can wrestle and run and play the day long. They especially love to lay in the sun together.

This is the shy an illusion Thomasino. We call him Thom-Thom. It took this handsome little man, 3 months to make his presence known. Once he did, he became a favorite of all! Thom is adorable. The pictures don’t do him justice. All the cats seem to get along with him. I love the way he quietly meows and rubs against everything in his way to get attention! Very cute! I cannot help myself when he flashes his pretty peepers my way! What a doll! This 1 year 7 month old, neutered cutie is FIV and FeLV Negative, up-to-date on shots and ready to make you fall in love! Of course, you may have to wait a few weeks before he shows himself, but don’t worry, he will come out at night and when no one is watching. Just leave litter, food and water. He will take care of the rest!

This one-eyed wonder is Shorty Llanerch! He is about 7 months old. Shorty is shy, quiet and playful! He gets along with other cats. He is simply a darling! I am fostering him through Project Meow. This beauty was trapped on Thursday, January 30 at the corner of 56th and Florence, 19143. She came back already spayed with unregistered chip and FeLV positive. Very sweet! Already have someone lined up to adopt her if an owner doesn’t come forward. Spread the word...someone might be grieving the loss of their beautiful cat?

UPDATE : Opal is being fostered with intent to adopt and Mila has been placed with Kelly’s (Geriatric) Cats!

In preparation for adoption, I took Opal and Mila to the PSPCA on Erie Ave. Opal needed an antibiotic for her cough and Mila had a full panel bloodwork done. The results should be back tomorrow. I want all my beautiful fosters to be well when they finally get a forever home!

Opal and Whiskers are off to the PSPCA in Fishtown tomorrow.Opal need chest X-rays and Whiskers has an abscess that popped (yuck!) all over me the other night. Need to make sure all is well and get him on antibiotics!

Opal is a gorgeous calico with one blue eye and one yellow eye. She is quiet and unassuming. I caught her in the same location as our calico, Cali, who also has a blue and a yellow eye! We are thinking they are sisters since they are both the same age range...2.5 yrs old. Like all the others, Opal is spayed, vaccinated and negative FeLV/FIV. She is waiting for you to adopt her!

Tommy is our celebrity! He raised $800 for himself to get surgery for stomatitis. The big day is tomorrow at 9am at the Bridge Clinic in Newtown, PA. Tom is a cool cat. And handsome! He is around 3-5 years old, is neutered and has his shots. He will be up for adoption after he is recovered from surgery. If you want a cat who will do his own thing, stop by once in a while to get some pets, and be on his merry way...he is your guy. No muss, no fuss. Feed him anything, he will eat it, except chicken. He has an allergy to chicken that causes him to scratch until he has sores. We try not to feed him any, but with all the cats we have, that is sometimes difficult! Anyway, he is a good guy.

Penny, rocks! She is 2.5 years old, playful, loving, soft and cuddly! She is a master at biscuit making and loves to be pet. Penny is another lap cat who will purr in your arms for as long as you like. About the only bad habit she has is that she loves to run and play with the others tag with other cats or just run after a ball herself. Be careful! She may run right under your feet. Lol

Ah....Patience...the name fits so well! Do not turn your back on your dinner! Patience sits still and quiet, just waiting for the moment of opportunity! SN**CH! Actually, it’s her only flaw so far. She is quiet, small, adorable, calm. She will sit on your lap and lap us your pets! We have been using a water squirted to coax her into staying away from dinner! It works for the most part. She is a good girl and low maintenance. Very sweet.

ADOPTED….Recently found out from adopted family that Bight is a girl!

This is Blight....as in “black & white.” He’s the guy who ran up to me and into my car a while back! He had already been neutered and had his ear tipped. He is up-to-date on shots and negative FIV, FeLV.
He is wonderful With humans. He is a people-person. He will loves pets and sweet talk!

This 5 month old munchkin is Licorice! She is a purr-bunny! And, of best pal to Beau.when I found her on the street she had gooey eyes and ears. She pretty much slept the first few days she was with us. But, after meds and some TLC, she came into her own big time! Licorice is so cuddly! If allowed, she will make biscuits on you all night! As with all of my foster, she is spayed,vaccinated and FeLV/FIV negative.

So, Luna used to live with Kitty-B, until they were surrendered to me. Like Kitty-B, she is loving and sweet, but she has a bit of a Napoleon complex! She has her good and bad moments, but she is loads of fun! Just point a laser and you will know what I mean! My husband, Sam, and I have had hours of fun just laughing at how hard she tries to catch the laser! And, can that girl jump! She and Kitty do well together, but like all sisters, they can take or leave one another with the flick of a tail. Luna can be adopted separately or along with Kitty-B. She is 1 yr. old and spayed, vaccinated and FeLV/FIV negative.

This is Beau. Beau is adorable! He is a sweet lover-boy! He is energetic, happy, playful and just plain nice! He gets along with other cats, in particular a young black kitten named Licorice. He is her only playmate, as the other kitties either ignore her or bully her. Beau initiates play with other kitties, as well! I’d love to see Beau and Licorice go to the same family, however, it is not an imperative. They just get along so well. If you happen to be adopting for the first time, adopting two kitties is a great idea if they are alone while you are working. They have each other to keep themselves company!
