K9 Safe Space K9 Safe Space is a project working to better the lives of dogs.

We take in retired breeding dogs and dogs/puppies remote areas and reserves and work alongside other rescues to place them in forever homes.

Welcome to our page!
We have been very excited to get this page up and running as a tool to help us make connections and find good homes for the very deserving dogs we bring into care. It's no secret that puppy mills can be found scattered throughout Ontario. While living in an area where puppy mills are prevalent, we have over the past several years become a drop off for breeding dogs that can no longer produce puppies, dogs with health concerns and dogs that are simply no longer wanted.
We have recently made a connection on a remote reserve area that has helped us work with families to spay and neuter their dogs and take in unwanted dogs/puppies to place them in good forever homes.
We are not a rescue or a charity, but we have and will continue to work with rescues to help these dogs land in the best home possible. As dog lovers, we feel we cannot turn away from dogs in need and so K9 Safe Space was born! We hope this page can be used as a resource for people looking to adopt, for rescues to connect and for us to be able to continue taking in these wonderful animals!
