You Stole a Piece of My Heart 💔💔
It is with a massively broken-heart that I advise that late tonight my little Angel Tyra gained her wings
Today she was a bubbly bundle like ever other day, playing with her toys like every puppy does.
Late today however, she appears to have been bitten by something as her breathing changed, her gums went nearly white and she could barely stand. I rushed her to the closest vet fearing it was a snake.
Initially they also thought it was a snake but she was cleared of any venom.
She appeared to have had an anaphylactic reaction to something resulting in her being placed on oxygen, medication, all bells and whistles, but nothing seemed to work.
I agreed to X-rays to see what else may be wrong, with the X-rays showing some of her internal organs including her stomach were in her chest cavity.
Her condition was unrecoverable. She was sentenced to a short life the second she was born. 🌈
Neurological issues and organ issues are yet more things that can result from double Merle breeding!!
11 weeks is not enough life for any being!
I was with her to the end. She knew she was loved by so many.
Rest In Peace my beautiful little girl. 💔💔
Your life was short but you touched many.
MERLE BREEDING FOR THE SAKE OF COAT COLOUR MUST STOP 🛑!!!!
Learning bite inhibition and play. Thanks Emm 💞🐾🐾
TYRA THE TORNADO 💖🐾🐾
Emm has such patience with Tyra.
Between Emm and myself, the little piraña has learn a good bite inhibition.
She knows exactly how much pressure to put behind those little fangs without hurting or breaking the skin now ✅
LEARNING TO PLAY TUG AND RELEASE
Tyra has been loving playing tug but part of her learning is to come back between my legs, release the tug and the play again when I say so.
In this clip, she is playing with the tug, when I release the pressure she comes to me with the aim of ending up between my legs.
She releases the toy and I pat her chest before picking up the tug and the game starts again.
Sorry for the average footage, it was hard to play with her and hold the phone still at the same time 🤣🤪
Enjoy 🥰
CONDITIONING A MARKER ✅
We do 2-3 session each day, this is how she gets her dry food 😊
She is learning that a double top on her left shoulder is the Marker for a reinforcement coming.
I have read in a few places about Clicker training a deaf dog 🤔 mmmmm interesting choice of word.
A clicker IS a Marker but hard for a deaf dog to hear 🤣, so maybe a better choice of words may help the owners understand what we are trying to Teach them.
Just a suggestion ☺️
Busy morning with the commencement of MARKER conditioning and getting used to a lead being in.
Then a rest and now play time. Big sis Emm comes to check out the activities 🥰
Next is total rest with no stimulation. This way Tyra will learn there is a time and place to be active and there is a time and place to zen out and calm down.
She is such a high energy, inquisitive little munchkins.
I am truely blessed to have her in my life.
Thank you Erin and Princess, and Bev ###x
It has been a very exciting week for little Miss Tyra.
She has been in quarantine for a week following her first vaccination, with approval from the vet she was allowed out so that her socialization and canine learning could start.
She is a nipper so time was spent in her first week, doing a lot of touching all over her body and a lot of play where the nipping was managed and redirected to a toy.
This is vital as she did not have the opportunity of being with her litter mate and learning bite inhibition.
She was also introduced to my dogs and took an instant liking to Emm, my deaf and vision impaired girl.
I can see that Emm is going to be a great teacher for Tyra, she has already started letting her know when the nipping is getting too hard.
For anyone interested in a bit more detail about what training has been happening, it will be on the ACB&T Page.

Enjoy the video 🥰
FIRST NIGHT:
Up at 4.30am for a poo and wee and a little morning snack, then back to bed
Up again at 6.00am for the full morning activities. Not an issue as all the dogs are up by then anyway.
Breakfast and play time with heaps and heaps of touch all over her body.
Being away from her litter mates at 4 weeks is way to early and she then had no access to all the canine developmental things required by puppies.
This may result in touch sensitivity, so lots and lots of touch all over her body, including her paws and opening her tiny eye lids.
Being blind she is likely to need ongoing care of her eyes, so she needs to be able to have them looked at and cleaned at an early age.
Now was have morning schedule for all the dogs and a nap for the little Miss Tyra
