Yesterday I picked up the makeshift tunnel for the project. The staff at EJ Prescott inc in Middleton MA were generous enough to donate it! I think this is going to work perfectly in the dog park! A big thank you to them and I can’t wait for my first build session that’s coming up!

We got our Home Depot Shipment today!! I can’t thank Home Depot enough, I got most of my materials from there and they were able to discount it! Which is amazing considering that any leftover donations I have go to Breakheart Reservation. Again, thank you all who donated, this wouldn’t be possible without you. I’m going to keep everyone updated on my Eagle Project journey!!

I’d like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has donated! We’ve actually gone over my goal and I’d like to say that I have turned off donations on my go fund me. Although I am extremely grateful, I anticipate having extra money when my project is complete and those funds will go to Breakheart Reservation. Thank you to everyone who has donated and I will continue updating this page with new developments on my project!

Hello Everyone,

I'm Jenna Casey, a senior at Woburn High and 2021 Eagle Scout candidate. I care deeply about a small dog park called Bark Place located at Breakheart Reservation in Wakefield. When everything got shut down due to the pandemic, I went to Breakheart everyday with my dog to improve my mental health while allowing my dog to run around off-leash. For my Eagle Scout project, I am planning to restore Bark Place, which is a fixture in the local community. Unfortunately, it does not get many visitors. I plan on changing this by installing a dog agility ramp, tunnel, and several benches to the park. To accomplish my project, I need the help of people like you, who are concerned about improving the community. Materials for the project are estimated to cost $1,300.00. (see the attached sheet for a cost breakdown)

Any amount you might be able to donate to this project would be a tremendous help. Donations of any size, big or small, will receive a thank you note and pictures of the finished project. Alternatively, if you have any of the supplies listed on the attached sheet, an in-kind donation would also be immensely helpful.

Your support will help bring the local community one step closer to beautifying the park and making it a more enjoyable destination for dogs and their owners. Throughout the pandemic Rue🐶 and I walked Breakheart almost every day. She’s kept me sane through all the madness going on around us and she is 100% the inspiration for this project. Without her I wouldn’t have known about Bark Place or its condition. This is her enjoying her freedom (off-leash) at Bark Place.

This is the first time I visited Bark Place! My family took a walk at Breakheart Reservation with our new pup and discovered it.
