Chloe is a beautiful two-year-old pup located in Sacramento.
Chloe is a solid girl, so she’s strong - she’ll need equally solid owner(s).

We think she may like heading out on adventures once she’s acclimated in a home. We also think her playful side will come out once she’s settled.

She can be reserved and cautious upon meeting someone, but she warms up quickly. She is eager to learn and is engaged with her person (s).

If you think you may be a match for Chloe, please email us at [email protected]

Are you looking for an easy uncomplicated and devoted companion? Look no further!

Meet Maverick (Big Dog). He is approximately 6-7 years young and is not a high energy dog as one would expect with his breed.

This guy is a distinguished polite gentleman who aims to please and likes to have fun. He gets along with dogs and cats. No separation anxiety, no chewing and he's not a barker but will let you know if he has to potty or wants to go on a walk.

He loves his walks, he's super gentle on a leash and is conscientious of his movements, he's very careful and gentle. He loves relaxing outside and spending time with his person(s) in the house. If something is going on around him that he may feel is chaotic, he avoids it and moves himself out of the situation.

He's potty trained, and he also loves the outdoors and doesn't mind hanging out in his fully enclosed outdoor dog run/kennel.

He grew up living outdoors but has now adapted to being a part of a family.

He can be a fussy eater but is learning that dog food is best for him and is now in the groove and loves his treats!

As of now, he can't be left alone in the yard, his foster uses a long lead. Due to his former life of free roaming and his husky nature, he does have that roaming tendency and has jumped a fence. He also gets startled with loud noises like the rocket launches, so a secure environment is best for him.

Thanks to C.A.R.E.4Paws, he has been vaccinated, neutered and also recently recovered from a fungal infection in his nose. It was a long road to recovery!

Please reach out and we can put you in touch with his foster and see if you are a match! Contact us at [email protected] and if you're a match we can pursue the next step with his rescue group.

He's currently located in Santa Ynez.

This Friday, at 11am PST, we will resume our "Fridays at the Sanctuary" live feeds.

During these lives we will meet various sanctuary residents, talk about behavior and wellness, as well as current issues for us and/or the animal welfare and rescue industry. We will also answer questions from viewers.

This Friday we will be kicking off a series in which we want to get into the weeds on stress and anxiety. We can't think of a single other topic that is as pervasive in this industry. The dogs we encounter are usually struggling from high levels of stress and anxiety, and the people who work or volunteer in this industry are as well. Frankly, stress and anxiety touch all of us at some point so let's talk about it and the many ways we can support wellness in our animals, and ourselvs as their caretakers.

Join us and let's unpack stress and anxiety. Until then, Abe would like to remind all of us that getting out in nature for some fresh air and Vitamin D is good medicine. See you Friday!

Another sweet pup from Sacramento! Chance is searching for a home, and our team is helping him to find it.

He is almost 5 months old and has all the puppy cuteness and curiosity. He is currently living with large adult dogs, but we don’t know about kids, small dogs or cats. As you can see, he has a cherry eye that will be fixed up when he gets neutered.

Chance is working on learning life skills and doesn’t have much schooling when it comes to potty training, walking on a leash and all the other basics. So, he will need someone who will teach him, have patience and continue training so he can be the best pup!

Our team member in Sacramento is ready to get this boy scheduled for meet and greets!

ADOPTED! Olive is searching for a home, and the Keep Me Home crew are helping her to find it.

Olive is 11 months old and has all the puppy cuteness and curiosity. She’s currently in the process of learning “puppy basics” like potty training, walking on a leash and other normal stuff! As with any puppy, she’s going to need a home that will teach and have puppy patience with her.

Olive is joyful, adorable, and sweet! She’s the epitome of a puppy who is wiggling her way through life, knowing the best is yet to come.

She is currently living with large adult dogs and does great. She hasn’t been observed with kids, small dogs, or cats.

Olive is currently located in Sacramento and one of our Keep Me Home team members is ready to do meet and greets in Sacramento!

Even if you’re not located in Sacramento but may be a good fit for our sweet Olive, the drive would be worth it.

Meet Petal! This cute pup was adopted from a shelter along with her sister. Unfortunately, the two pups have the dreaded sibling syndrome and aren’t flourishing together.

Petal is a sweet and adorable girl, eager to learn and enjoy life.

Her current owner would love to find her another home without sending her back to a shelter environment because she’s doing great with learning basic commands, potty training, and crate training. They’d love to keep up with her training until a loving new home is found.

Petal does great with other dogs and gets along well with the owners current 2-year-old dog.

Petal is spayed, microchipped and will be getting her second round of vaccines on April 22, 2025.

Petal will come with her own crate if needed.

Her rehoming fee is $225, and owner will be screening potential adopters.

If you’re interested in meeting Petal – please type us at [email protected] and we will put you in contact with her current owner.

Hi, I'm Remy!

I'm currently in the market for a home of my very own.

Everyone says I'm a super cute gal - but there's more to me than good looks.

I've lived with another dog and a cat, that means I'm friendly.

I absolutely love balls and toys. Playing is super fun!

I enjoy car rides and seeing new stuff.

I'd love active and fun human(s).

Oh yeah, I'm also crate and potty trained. BONUS!

I didn't have a lot of experience walking on a leash but I'm learning fast and getting way better.

If you think we may be a great fit, please email my friends at [email protected]

Thank you!
