Now a Certified Pet Trainer through the top dog training company in the world featured on “Worlds Greatest” TV series. I loved this program! Very innovative with interactive online class paired with online VR course followed by an in person week long certification in Milton Florida. Where we were assessed for comprehension of behavior, command sequencing and human communication skills with a written and demonstration test! Money was well spent on this and this course opens up doors to enter into protection, tracking and service dog work which I will be considering getting into this next year! I really love gaining knowledge especially in new realms of this industry, so this will be a great doorway into new and exciting things for Wildside Canine.

I have Board and train openings after August 24th! I’ll be initiating my new board and train program with improved comprehensive training for you and your dog that will include weekly lessons with you as the owner and a full video portal with explanation videos and answers to various behavioral issues. This program will be based off of the top dog trainer school in America- Top Tier Canine Academy where I will be receiving my certification August 17th!

Super excited to see this weekend, I’ve been watching Tom since before I even thought of balanced training or being a dog trainer. I started out purely positive for the beginning of my journey but through research in my own dog ownership journey I found Tom and was amazed at the simplicity and clarity between rewards and corrections and motivation/ engagement and was something I hadn’t seen before. It’s been a joy to finally get to watch him work through the training process in person!

Abu at nationals in Des Moines Iowa this last week! Clients always wonder why I highly recommend choosing an ethical breeder with tested and titled dogs that have proof of a standard that they hold themselves to when breeding. The reality is that many people are out there breeding dogs for money because of a breeds popularity or because they think it would be cute or fun to have puppies. Not really taking into consideration the health of the parents or their physical soundness. Health tested and sound structured dogs will by majority be less likely to get common health issues associated with certain breeds and generally if you choose a well bred dog from a reputable breeder, you can minimize the unknown of that dogs temperament and even gage their life expectancy. Well bred dogs do cost more than some of your average cregslist puppies but through much research of my own you could be paying the same if not more for a designer dog breed or even a pet store dog. Which are usually not tested or standardized by a breed club at all, which means whoever bred that dog has no one holding them accountable for what they produce. Which is usually a big red flag. A reputable breeder will have referrals and connections in their breeds community that you can refer to in order to gage if that dog is right for you and your family or if that breeder is someone you want to do business with. Research is the biggest thing when it comes to dog ownership, know the signs of good breeding and bad breeding can save you a lot of headache in the future with your new puppy!

Abu finished his Novice A title this weekend at the Pomeranian nationals here in Des Moines Iowa! He also showed in conformation and did amazing around the ring, Although he didn’t make the cut it was terrific being able to see some of the top Pom’s in the country and across the world there competing! There were various nations represented with some pretty amazing looking pups!
