Been such a busy week I’ve hardly taken any pictures. That’s me officially finished now for Xmas and new year … but I will have limited appointments available so if anyone wants a last minute cut or bath please drop me message and I will do my best to accommodate you.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all my clients for all your support over the last year. I have met so many lovely dogs and owners and all the support you have all given me really means the world. One of my favourites today my oldest wee customer 17 year old jazz was in today for her regular groom. Wee Jazz hates every minute of the experience but because she’s been groomed regularly from a young age she’s used to it now and just lets me get on with it…. But obviously her wee face has to tell me how angry she is 🤣🙈 that’s why it’s so important to get your pups in for a groom at a young age to get them used to the process 🐾🐶

Afternoon everyone. I thought it was time I came on here and introduced myself.

I’m Gayle and I live in Port Seton with my 11 year old son. I have been a dog lover my whole life but it took until I was 41 before I finally became a dog owner. I have always got my dog groomed from when he was a wee pup and I had an amazing dog groomer, every time he went in I always thought what an amazing job that would be.

Fast forward a couple of years and my marriage ending meant I had to leave my job and our family home. I had to find a way to support my son and I…. So with literally nothing else to lose, I took the jump and starting training to be a dog groomer and Hair of the Dug was born.

Because I have a wee salon built in my garden it allows me to do a job that I love while giving me the flexibly to work around mum life. And working from my home allows me to be flexible with appointments times, if anyone needs an evening or weekend appointments please let me know I will always do my best to accommodate you.

Thank you to all my clients who continue to support me and allow me to do the job I love 🐶🐾
