Refoot babies are hatching here at the rescue!
Did you know that female tortoises can hold on to semen for 3-5 years? Sometimes, we get tortoises here that have been exposed to males, and they lay eggs. Usually, we don't incubate the eggs as we have a NO sale/adoption/rehome policy here. As this was a small clutch, we made an exception and incubated them, and to our surprise, they hatched.
We are holding to our policy and keeping these babies.
Now to name this special bunch....

These too are brother and sister from the same clutch that were breed and they are beyond stunning animals to look at.picture don’t show them justice and anyone that sees this two 🐍snakes in person is blown away by how awesome they look.their genes are double recessive hypo/ Axanthic tsk line.also know in the python world as the “True Ghost “👻 This in reference to their hypomelanistic genetics which causes the stripping of melanin resulting in their off white/silver color pattern.

This is Myah and she is a microscale leopard het clown ball python.2. Copies of her microscale gene will result in 25% off the offspring being completely scaleless. This means if the male she’s paired with is also a microscale and a clown or het of clown it is possible for their offspring to be scaleless and visually showing the clown and or leopard genes that they carry
