Thank you to Quicksilver Canine for giving us more opportunities for indoor training in April!
✨Young Dog Sequencing✨
Sundays 4/7 & 4/21 8:30am-12pm
For dogs 8 months and older—Using jumps and tunnels only, the focus of this workshop will be building confidence and understanding of finding and driving lines. Dogs should be comfortable sequencing 4-6 obstacles.
✨Cueing, Commitment, & Connection✨
Sundays 4/7 & 4/21 12:30pm-4pm
This workshop will focus on the necessary pieces for communicating clearly with our canine partners. We will work on maintaining connection, watching for commitment, and giving timely cues in order to be confident and efficient on course.
Working spots are $125 each and limited to 6 teams. Please email flyhighagility(at)gmail.com to sign up!

🌟Workshops at Quicksilver Canine🌟
Friday, March 8th 2024--indoors on turf
8:30am-12:00pm: Young Dog Sequencing (jumps & tunnels)--Open to any puppy/dog 6 months and older...we will work on skills appropriate for each puppy's age and the team's experience level. Only jumps and tunnels will be used.
12:30pm-4:00pm: Finding & Setting Efficient Lines--In this workshop we will work on finding the fastest/tightest lines for the dogs to run in order to maximize efficiency on course...and of course work on the handling required to execute them! Open to dogs sequencing at least 6-8 obstacles. Primarily jumps and tunnels will be used, and potentially optional weaves.
Working spots are $125 each, and are limited to 6 working spots. Please email [email protected] to sign up!

❄️ONLINE WINTER JUMP SKILLS REFRESHER❄️
As we prepare for the new year and competition season, I wanted to offer an opportunity for us to tune up some important jump skills. Material covered will include, but is not limited to: focus forward, tight turns, backside slices & wraps, threadle slices & wraps, turning away from handler, extension vs. collection, and varied jump approaches. This class is appropriate for dogs who are learning these skills for the first time or need to fill in some holes in foundational understanding, as well as those who want to develop more independence, stronger verbal understanding, or extreme proofing. I will present the steps "from the ground up," and you can choose to focus on the pieces that will best suit you and your dog :)
This class will take place online in a private Facebook group. The schedule is as follows:
-Lesson 1 posted December 20th
-Lesson 2 posted December 27th
(catch up week)
-Lesson 3 posted January 10th
-Lesson 4 posted January 17th
(catch up week)
-Lesson 5 posted January 31st
-Lesson 6 posted February 7th
The group will remain open for at least 4-6 weeks after the last lesson is posted so that everyone has a chance to get through the material, and leaves some flexibility for weather or general holiday and life delays :)
Required equipment is one jump and two wings/cones/poles (really anything a dog can wrap around). I might include some exercises that can be done with 2-3 jumps, but only the one jump will be essential for the class.
❄️Working spots ($195): Students can ask questions in the group as well as post 6 minutes of video for review and feedback per week (including catch up weeks)
❄️Active Auditing ($100): Students can ask questions in the group as well as post two 2-minute videos for review and feedback throughout the class duration
❄️Silent Auditing ($75): Students have access to all of the materials but cannot ask questions in the group or post any video

I have also gotten some questions about this so I wanted to mention that I am offering some online training options as well. I do video review of trial runs as well as live video lessons and/or video review of training plans.

I have gotten a few individual requests so I am gauging interest in a Winter "one jump refresher" course online. This could be appropriate for young dogs learning things for the first time AND experienced dogs who need to revisit some jumping foundations. It would cover proofing of backsides, threadles, turns toward and away from handler, serps, etc. The goal would be to build more independence and to increase verbal understanding of many important jumping skills. All of the exercises could be completed with one jump, but I may include some add-ons that would use 2-3 jumps.
IF you are interested in a class like this, please let me know in the comments how many lessons you would find ideal, and whether you'd prefer them be published weekly or every other week :)
