This is me, 6 years ago today, when my mom got me out of a shelter and called me a foster dog. The pool must’ve gotten sent to the shelter cuz it’s not here anymore, but I’M still here!!!

Sassy has been ADOPTED!

Meet Sassy!
We’ve shared her story before but wanted to highlight her again. Next month will make a year she’s been waiting for her home.
She was abandoned in a park last August with no teeth and early kidney disease. She made friends with someone fishing and ended up at the shelter.
Sassy loves to talk. She has a very distinct mew. She’s an independent girl who loves toys mice and pipe cleaners (we were playing when this pic was taken).
She’s a favorite among staff and volunteers.
We aren’t sure of her exact age but guessing she’s in her teens.
We’d love for her to find a place to call home. For more information on Sassy, her diet, or kidney disease, stop by during open hours or contact Roxanne 330-296-4022 ext 107.

Venus is a 12 week old Hound mix that has spent the last two weeks learning all new things with a trainer. Venus is a very smart girl and has learned commands and is learning how to be off leash and has great recall. She walks great on a leash also. Venus is house and crate trained and travels well in a car. She does well with cats but will chase them so a dog savvy cat would do well. Venus has some hound traits and loves to use her nose to find things. She would do great with an owner who would like to do scent work. At just 12 weeks old this little girl is off to a great start thanks to her trainer Sam. She would do great in a home where her owner will continue her obedience class. Her adoption donation does include a refresher course with her trainer Sam in a few months. Venus is ready for adventures like hiking, camping and meeting new people. Asher and Aslan are the cutest bonded pair looking for a forever home together. Asher may hiss sometimes because he can't see, but he is super sweet. And Aslan is always up for some playful fun! These adorable kittens are just 7 months old and must be adopted together.

Breezy is broken hearted!
She can't understand why no one asks for her. She is so lonesome for someone to love her.
For 213 days, she has watched dog after dog get adopted.
For 213 days, she has watched puppy after puppy leave with their new families.
For 213 days, she has watched, waited and wondered "WHY?"
Why am I not good enough? Why am I not cute enough? Why am I not worth of a family.
The staff adores her, loves her and plays with her but she still longs for the love of a home, a bed, a couch, a family.
Are you the family to take a chance on Breezy?
Are you the family willing to take the time to help her adjust?
Are you the family that is able to be patient while she becomes the dog we know she is?
For 213 days, Breezy has been available for adoption. She is almost 2 now and is growing up without a family.

Going on 30 days and still no forever home 🏡 💔

Chief Chubs is looking for his retirement home, he is estimated to be around two years old. He is a super sweet boy with a bubbly personality, who loves eating all the snacks. It doesn’t matter what you put in front of him he’ll gobble it up. Chief Chubs is currently in a loving, foster home, but is looking for his permanent stay at a farm near you. Chief Chuds is a big fan of pools and likes to lay around most of his days in them, but he is a bit of an escape artist, so proper enclosure is definitely required for this smart boy. This gorgeous girl came in with a ruptured eye. Brownie was too little for surgery and needed to grow a little. She has had her eye removed, spayed and ready for her home. She is very sweet, likes to be held like baby, loves pipe cleaners and has potential with cats (there are cats in her foster home she gets along with). She will return tomorrow for adoption. She is about 5-6 months old and ready for her forever home! Stop in tomorrow 11-3:30 and see if she fits your home.

Mom was gone for a whole week-I don’t know how she can call it “vacation” when I didn’t go, but that’s just my opinion.
Then she was gone all day, every day, for ANOTHER week (like usual). So, she OWES me this.

I can always tell when Mom had a challenging day. She gets our blanket, gets me on her lap, and chugs an Old Fashioned like it’s her job. My job’s easy...make Mom feel better.
