And just like that our 2023 season is done.

Not our day at the champs but so happy to have our biggest and best supporters all there with us 🫶🏼

Started the day with a fab dressage, an unusual 3 poles showjumping, and then a fantastic clear cross country round the most testing track we’ve faced which saw nearly half our section eliminated.

A small holiday for Morgs before winter of training ahead 💪🏼

A fantastic preparation run for Morgan at Broadway this weekend ready for the Horse-Events Champs in a few weeks.

A super dressage, best in the section! A hugely unlucky roll of a pole showjumping, followed by a bold, fast(er than normal) clear XC just coming home with 2 time faults (5 seconds over!) Meant we finished the day in 7th.

Big thanks to our best supporters Jamie & Nelly for giving up their day to drive and video 🫶🏼

Finally the sun has come out and just in time for a mornings eventing at a beautiful new venue; Hazleton Manor Equestrian

As usual running late, so a 3 minute dressage warm up which seemed to work in our favour for 28.5.

2 silly poles showjumping, a combination of rider error and lack of practice in the run up to today.

Finishing the day with a super clear cross country. A big, bold, moving track so really pleased Morgan stepped up and got the job done.

And we’re off!!! 🐎🌟
First event of the season under our belt. A respectable dressage given the arena ground conditions were less than ideal, followed by a super bold double clear to finish 8th.

Very pleased with Morgan given our lack of preparation with all the xc schooling venues being closed and having never actually jumped him in muddy conditions.

The gound at Swalcliffe Park Equestrian held up exceptionally well given the amount of rain we’ve had, so a massive thanks to their team and the Horse-Events team for a super day.

My bestest boy 💞

What a way to finish the season.

Calmsdon Horse-Events Championship; a super 28 dressage, followed by a fantasic double clear.

Morgs practically show jumped on his own after I forgot how to ride/how to sit still. Then came the cross country, a big, tough track not that you’d know as we flew round, one of the best rounds he’s ever done. A few seconds over the time dropped us out of a placing but I couldn’t be anymore thrilled with how he’s stepped up this year and given me everything I’ve asked him for 💞

Post competing got a little interesting when Morgs tried to share his Saracen Horse Feeds mash with us, apparently it’s very tasty 🙈

Another of our favourite events this weekend, Horse-Events Swalcliffe Park. Morgan having a nearly there weekend. A slightly too relaxed dressage, a bit keen in the showjumping just rolling a pole followed with a super clear cross country round a track that didn’t suit him and asked a number of questions for him but alas he sailed round. Just need to get him some rocket fuel now! 🐌

Fantastic result for Morgan yesterday at Allens Hill. Running late as normal, threw the tack on with a few minutes to warm up for test number 1. Morgan his usual chilled self, scoring 68% in Prelim 19. 💞

Back to the trailer for a quick drink, then a gentle warm up for our first Novice. Slightly nervous after sharing the warm up with Michael Eilberg, but Morgan produced a super test for 67%. 🌟

Couldn’t be any prouder of my little pony who constantly steps up when he needs to. Now waiting to win the lottery so we can have a big fancy lorry 🤩

Finally home after a lovely long days eventing in the sunshine. Aston le Walls Equestrian Centre really put on a fantastic event with superb ground, plenty of water and friendly volunteers.

Morgan never ceases to amaze me, after the worst prep week with a bit too much enthusiasm and me taking mid air flying lessons, he pulled it out the bag with a 29.8 dressage, and a very keen, very bold double clear landing us in 4th place. My best boy 💞

Big thanks to my super groom Ros Burman for braving the heat, plenty of frozen towels were supplied, and Morgan even shared his mash at the end of the day 🤣

Not the best weekend on paper but pleased with how much Morgans jumping has come on and to be reunited with the top A Team 💞

An over excited dressage, followed by a foot perfect showjumping round and topped off with a super confident cross country round has prepped us well for his first 90 in a few weeks. Hopefully he can keep his cool in the dressage next time 🙈

Massive thanks to everyone who has put us up, and come to help this weekend.

What a boy! 🤩

First run of the year, starting as he means to go on (hopefully). A slightly dewy dressage arena and an unprepared jockey (forgot that we had no stud holes) meant a few slips lost us a couple of marks but still left the boards with a score of 31.75.

Followed by a foot perfect double clear, just outside the time to leave us in 3rd place 🥉

A huge thank you to Horse-Events for a superb event, and an even bigger thank you to those all important volunteers 👏🏼

Another busy week here. Thankfully Annie is finally back in the field, we’ll just ignore the fact that she dictates for how long🙄 hopefully she won’t be quite as bouncy now🤞🏼

Big thanks to super fencer Jamie Bennett Contracting for building her a special turn out pen next to her buddy 💞

4 years of us, and today was the day she decided to remind me how fast she is 🤦🏼‍♀️

Luckily the only casualty was my stirrup leather which flew of and snapped as we ‘gracefully’ flew through the air on a supposedly calm walk.

This rehab is going to be a long one 🙈

26/09/2021

A fantastic way to end the season for Morgan at the Horse-Events Unaffiliated Championships Calmsden.

A relaxed dressage for 31.25 followed by a confident, bold double clear. A few time to add just knocked us out of a placing but I couldn’t have asked for a better final run from him. 💕

A busy but wonderful weekend for both ponies.

Saturday saw Morgan off to Swalcliffe Park and bringing home another top ten placing. A slightly slippy dressage for 33, just tapping a pole showjumping but storming clear round the cross country which was causing no end of problems, only picking up a couple of time faults to finish in 8th place. Couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come and how confident he now feels. 🎉

Sunday was the return of my little pocket rocket. After a few turbulent months and the thought that she’d have to be retired we finally got the go ahead to get back on board and start her rehab. Luckily she was pretty chilled about the whole thing, fingers crossed it lasts 🍀

A huge thanks to Horse-Events for putting on such an amazing event at Swalcliffe Park, especially the XC steward and starters who remained happy and enthusiastic even after the delay, events really don’t run without the amazing volunteers who give up their time to allow us to compete 💕 And a big thanks to super groom Mum who got up at the crack of dawn again to come and support us 💕

Now it’s time for a roast and a lay down before it’s back at it tomorrow 🤤😴

Another top 10 placing for Morgan today. A super start with a 26.75 dressage followed by a much more controlled clear showjumping and a bold, confident clear cross country with just a few time to add leaving us in 7th.

Now to figure out how to speed my Rolls Royce horse up 🏎🐎

A huge thanks to Horse-Events for such a well run event and as always super groom Mum Ros Burman for the never ending support and advice ❤️

Another fantastic run for Morgan today. Super dressage for 26.5, a slight miscommunication in the showjumping left us with a few penalties to add but a bold, confident clear cross country saw us finish in 6th place. Couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come, onwards to the next one 🐎💗

Huge thanks to Horse-Events for such a friendly and well run event, and to my number one supporter Ros Burman for giving up your day to come and help us 💕

My Journey

Having began riding at the age of 4 my love for all things horsey seemed to set off on a path that has never ended. From the very moment I sat on little Smartie (the first pony I ever rode) at our local riding school I haven't been able to get off a horse.

My passion for producing horses came when I was around 8, I had always had ponies on loan at our local riding school and loved going 3 or 4 times a week to have lessons, compete, or just play around with all the friends I made whilst I was there. It wasn't until I was offered the ride on some young Welsh ponies that I ever really knew what producing meant.

Grayfield stud soon became a huge part of my life with breaking and producing ponies taking over my life. This was a huge learning curve for me, having to adapt my riding to each different pony and their needs. From working hunters to showing and in-hand classes, we travelled the country, competing in a large number of different county shows and local shows, allowing my ring experience to develop and also giving me the chance to pick up some good tips from some good friends along the way.

After moving from showing and working hunters my interest developed into show jumping, with a fiery, forward thinking mare I was away and enjoying myself. Having had this pony when she was young her flat work was not very established but her genuine and honest attitude helped us to many wins and qualifications. With some hard work and dedication her flat work went from strength to strength, with her eventually being long listed for the Pony Europeans with her next jockey.
