Goodbyes are never easy and this one surely is not. The past 8 years have been the best adventure and brought our family so much joy. However, there are countless hours that go into rescue work and much stress that can come along with it.
After many months of hard conversations and prayer we felt the Lord telling us it was time to close the door with Griffin K9 and focus on our very young family.
What does that mean:
After 8 amazing years, almost 200 dogs saved & adopted, Griffin K-9 Rescue is officially closed. Rescue work will always be important to us and we hope to be able to support other rescues in different ways in the future!
However, our program with Davids Backpacks for the Homeless will continue! This is an organization that we are so passionate about and we are so excited to be able to come alongside Mary and support her and her organization in many different ways, including keeping the sponsorship program up and running! All of our current DB monthly supporters will still be able to sponsor their animals it will just all be done through David’s Backpacks moving forward.
We are incredibly thankful for all of our supporters that have financially supported us, volunteered, and prayed for us throughout the years! We couldn’t have done it without you! We are so thankful to our board of directors and our rescue partner and dear friend, Emily, who has sacrificed countless hours taking care of our rescue dogs over the last two years. Finally, we will never be able to thank Dr. Pressly and Pressly Animal Hospital,PLLC enough for all they have done for us! Eight years ago Dr. Pressly found us at an adoption event and he truly changed the course of our rescue. We literally would not have been able to do it without him and are so thankful for the dear friend that he is to us!
We are so sad to say goodbye but eternally grateful for everything Griffin K-9 was and all the people and dogs that were reached! ❤️🐶
