Most dog subscription boxes are full of stuff that’s, well… fluff. We prefer purposeful information and products. Because our goal is to help you take the very best care of your very best friend. Being vet-owned and operated means we (and therefore you) have access to certified veterinary health products (VHPs). We handpick VHPs and other fun treats and toys that suit your dog’s breed, habits, and

health. We genuinely care about your dog’s health and wellbeing and work hard to support their every need. Every box includes vet-curated, jargon-free information about wellness topics relevant to you. As a Waggle Mail member, you’ll join a global community of dog owners who care about their pets just as much as you do. We treat our members to special offers, giveaways, and more.

Lets Celebrate National Peanut Day!!

And I mean, what's more fun than baking for your dog? Try out the simple, 3 ingredient recipe below and spend a day spoiling your pup :)

See below for detailed instructions- Happy peanut day!

Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats, oat flour or oatmeal
1/2 cup Dog Safe Peanut butter (We love Poochie Butter!)
1/2 cup soft fruit or vegetables cooked apple, carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin or a banana

*Preheat oven to 250°F*

1. Place your oats in a food processor or blender and blend until most of the oats are ground. you can leave some oats whole if you choose! The cookies are easier to cut if most of the oats are processed.

2. Add peanut butter and sweet potato (Or alternate soft fruit/veggie) and process until the dough comes together.

3. Roll dough 1/4" thick, using flour if the dough is sticky. Then cut out using a cookie cutter or cut into squares.

4. Place cookies on cookie sheets and bake at 250° for 2 hours until the dog treats are completely dry and crispy.

These can be stored at room temperature for about a month without getting moldy, but you do need to make sure they are fully dehydrated before storing.

Thanks to for this amazing and simple recipe!

July is Lost pet prevention month!

Camping and travel can cause higher amounts of stress in our furry friends. They can escape from a campsite or leave their backyard to go looking for their owners. Within 24hrs, there is a whopping 93% of lost dogs that are found… but unfortunately, after that window, the chances of finding your pup drop to 60%. While this number is still above average, it is important to ensure you have targeted necessary precautions to make reuniting with your dog as easy as possible.

1. Make sure your dog has a personal identification tag
Personalized tags make it incredibly easy for the average person to contact you if they find your dog wandering. Make sure that any tags are regularly checked for wear and tear- as an illegible tag won't be very effective. It may also be helpful to include a secondary number on the tag- if you aren't available, who else should they call?

2. License your dog with the city
While this should already be common practice, a license can help local shelters and animal control locate you as the lost dog's owner- in addition, it also lowers the at-large fee in many cities. If your pet makes it to a shelter, this is probably one of the quickest ways for a city employee to identify the animal!

3. Microchip your Dog!
Microchips are the most universal form of identification. If your pet is brought into any Vet Clinic, Shelter OR Rescue, the first course of action is to scan for a chip. These microchips can be implanted at your local vet clinic for as low as $40 dollars in some cities! This is an inexpensive way to make sure no matter who finds your pet- even if their collar is removed- they are still able to be traced back to you :)

With any of these, it is INCREDIBLY important to make sure you keep the attached information up to date. If your phone number and address have both changed, it can be almost impossible to figure out who actually owns the dog in question. Annually check your microchip information and make any changes. This is often overlooked, but can be the make-or-break to reuniting your family!

Take care this summer!

Happy Canada Day from !

Remember to keep your pups in a secure safe place tonight, away from the spooky fireworks- while we love to see them light up the sky, they can cause dogs to panic, increasing the chances of lost pets (Which we never want!)

Still want to celebrate with your pet? Make sure they are properly identified- microchipped and tagged with your contact information. You never know what could happen, so it is important to ensure that you and your pet are able to be reunited. Also check the security of your collar/harness- can your dog easily slip out? If yes, consider adjusting to a more snug fit.

Your dog hates fireworks? No worries! Create a safe space for them in your home, and add helpful calming pheromones. Thunder shirts will also help keep you pup feel calm. Consider staying in to celebrate with your dog if you are particularly worried about how they might handle the booming and banging.

Enjoy your weekend and STAY SAFE!
