We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for your dog, hoping that they will look forward to visiting us again for their next groom! We only work with one dog/households' dogs at any one time, meaning that they have our full attention throughout their stay with us. Jennie(groomer at Stinky Beasts): 'I have over 15 years experience working with dogs; my background is in rescue, training and behaviour, and because of my history a big part of what I wish to offer when grooming dogs is a positive feeling around all procedures involved in grooming. I would always rather take a little longer making your dog comfortable and giving them regular breaks, along with using lots of rewards (a combination of voice, food and toys) to make the experience as good as possible. I am also always happy to give advice on making the maintenance grooming you do at home easier if your dog doesn't enjoy being brushed/handled.'

Although we are happy to groom your dog into the standard style for its breed, we also understand that sometimes it is better for both you and your dog to groom them into a style which is easier for you to maintain between grooms. We are always happy to discuss styling and find a way to offer both a good look and something practical for your lifestyle.

It is HOT, and it looks to be staying that way at least for the next week. I will be keeping my grooming area as cool as possible, however I will be making a judgement on a day to day basis, and will contact you accordingly if I feel appointments need to be rescheduled. If you are concerned about the temperature either for your dog to be groomed or travelling to us please get in touch! Your dogs welfare is always the most important thing!

Merry Christmas to all my lovely clients and their beautiful dogs! I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support and custom, I have loved spending time with everyone's fur families this year, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2023!

Fun in the mud - I think a 'stinky groom' is in order!

We offer our 'stinky grooms' for those unfortunate dirty moments - at Stinky Beasts we understand that dogs need to be dogs, and sometimes that means splashing about in a muddy puddle bobbing for tennis balls! If you are having one of those dirty days then our stinky groom will help get your dog clean and dry ready for more fun another day!

Our dead sea mineral mud bath treatment is one of our add on spa treatments, which cost just £10. The product used provides essential minerals to the skin and coat, hydrates and restores the coat, and helps to exfoliate the skin to improve dry or flaky skin. We massage the treatment into the wet skin and coat, and then wrap the dog up in a warm dry towel to allow the treatment to sit for a few minutes without your dog getting cold. We then add a little extra water and repeat the massage process, before fully rinsing the product out of the coat. Maggie really enjoyed demonstrating this pamper session-she is getting older and has achy muscles, so she really appreciates a relaxing massage every now and again ❤

Nelson enjoyed a treat today with our Blueberry Facial with head and face massage. The facial is great for all dogs, helping to soothe and hydrate their faces as well as gently cleaning the coat and skin. They are particularly good for dogs with facial skin folds that can easily trap dirt which can irritate the dog or cause infections. Unfortunately we don't have smellovision as it also smells delicious!
