In memory of Lenny ♥️🕊️

We’re devastated to share the news that our alumni boy, Lenny, passed away on Thursday evening.

His mom Karla has remained in regular contact with us since her family adopted our bonded kitten duo, Lenny and Princess Buttercup last year. The little duo was found outside as 5/6 week old kittens with no mama around and were fostered by the wonderful Alanna on our team. Alanna worked hard to feed them around the clock and gave them all the TLC they needed to grow and thrive.

Once they became available, Karla and her family chose to adopt the two siblings. Lenny experienced crystals in his urine and blockage last month and was rushed to urgent care. His family went ahead with surgery and he was on the mend the last few weeks, but he also had a suspected heart murmur which turned out to be a blood clot this last week. He experienced seizures and the urgent vet team did all they could, but Lenny passed away at 15 months.

Our thoughts are with the whole family during this difficult time and we’re grateful to remain in touch with them and check in continuously. We also wish to extend a big thank you Heidi who runs Heidi’s Kitty Haven for providing our small team and Karla support when Lenny was initially diagnosed with crystals.

Lenny had the best home and will live on through his sister Buttercup 🐾🌈♥️

✨Adoption update✨

Guess who’s been adopted? Our little man Toulouse!

This sweet little soul was found in a ditch with our mama cat Duchess and her 2 younger kittens. We suspect that she adopted Toulouse who was outside and an orphan.

The little family was rescued by a passerby who was walking his dog after noticing them in a bush. And after some vetting, Toulouse was ready to go!

Congratulations to his new mama Natalie and his dog sibling! We can’t wait for updates along the way, and welcome to our alumni family 💚🐾

Kimiko continues to gain confidence every day that she’s in care and she’s getting ready for her dental, happening through Speak Up For Paws, this Wednesday.

Meet sweet Kimiko:

This sweet 4 year old girl had a very difficult start to life. She was born into a cat hoarding environment and lived the first 4 years of her life with 100+ other cats.

She was rescued through a large rescue mission from the house of 100, and needed an urgent vet visit to care for her severe skin infection. She was treated with antibiotics and placed in a loving foster home. She is scheduled for a dental on June 11 and will be available after this date.

Kimiko has been adjusting well to a calm and quiet home environment with her fosters. She’s currently the only pet in the home and has been enjoying being the centre of attention after 4 years of sharing with 100 other cats.

As a result, she would likely be fine with older respectful kids who will understand Kimiko’s need for time and space.

She would be fine with other respectful cats, but her bigger needs will be a calm and stable home environment where she can thrive, and she would do best in a smaller space.

This sweet girl is very affectionate with her foster parents and deserves the world! We know her furever home is out there and Kimiko can’t wait to meet them!

Meet Toulouse!

Toulouse is the lovable misfit of his little family. He was found in a ditch alongside a mama cat (now named Duchess) and her two much smaller kittens. Because of his XL size and different age, we believe Toulouse was an orphan kitten who was lovingly adopted into Duchess’s family and he fit right in!

Now Toulouse is ready to write his next chapter with a forever family of his own! He’s a playful, spunky little guy who’s full of kitten energy and loves a good wrestling match or zoomies around the room. He would thrive in a home with another friendly, energetic cat to keep him company and match his playful vibes.

UPDATE: Our 50/50 Sold Out and Then Some!
We had a couple last-minute entries come in just as we were closing things down, so the final pot is based on 103 tickets sold. That’s an even bigger prize for the winner and more support for our foster cats!
