FUTURE IS BRIGHT 🌟
That’s a wrap on the 9th Annual Future Equine Practitioners Weekend. What a weekend of great hands-on learning and invaluable discussion at @rhinebeck_equine @millbrook_equine and @oakencroft_equine. This year’s students were so engaged in the diverse range of activities we offered - what a promising group of future horse doctors.
We owe many, many thanks to the many veterinarians who shared their time and expertise with students this weekend for a huge variety of talks, wet labs, and our great panel discussion.
From RE we had Dr Laura Javsicas, Dr Nina Deibel, Dr Lauren Holley, Dr Jesse Tyma, Dr Cara Rosenbaum, Dr Lauren Pasch, Dr Gus Abuja, Dr MJ Bruce, Dr Noah Muntwyler, Dr Sidney Long, Dr Kim Zullo, Dr CJ Monika and many helping hands from their super team.
From MEVC we had Dr Miranda Gosselin, Dr Kari Searls, Dr Eve Donoghue, Dr Alana King, and their great team members.

That’s a wrap on day 1 of the Future Equine Practitioners Weekend!
We kicked off our eighth annual #FEPW at @rhinebeck_equine this morning with a fantastic talk on sustainable equine veterinary practice with Dr Jesse Tyma. Students then participated in wet labs focused on abdominal ultrasound and radiographic positioning thanks to @universalimaginginc & @soundvet
We all enjoyed lunch thanks to @avmatrustdvms and then migrated to @millbrook_equine!
Students watched a live stallion collection and then learned how to process semen during a wet lab. Groups participated in case simulations focused on equine reproduction (thank you, @equilume), ambulatory medicine, and clinical pathology, too!
We are so appreciative of Dr Jesse Tyma, Dr Danielle Schilpp, Dr Kari Searls, Dr Miranda Gosselin, Dr Allie Catalino, Dr Gus Abuja, Dr Laura Javsicas, Dr Alana King, Dr Lauren Pasch, and Dr Cyra Erwin who gave their time to share just a bit of all they know with our participants.
