Two Hyper Hounds Custom made collars and other canine accessories, approved by Loki & Luna! I started making collars as most collars in the market look the same.

We have two gorgeous hounds, Loki and Luna, who colour our lives with laughter and antics. Friends and family have requested that I make them collars as they liked them so much, and they have all given me such great feedback . Now I just love making them, but don’t have enough dogs to wear them all, so I thought maybe others would love to see their dogs in my durable, great looking collars. OUR CO

LLARS:
Our Collars are hand made from Paracord with buckles and D rings. They come in combinations of colours that you get to choose from available stock. They have an inner and outer layer which you can see in the sample pictures. PARACORD:
We use 550 Paracord - 100% nylon. Manufactured in USA. The cord is mildew resistant, will not rot, lightweight and extremely strong – the breaking strain is approximately 250kgs. BUCKLES & RINGS:
You have two choices for buckles;

1. Durable plastic side release buckle, these a traditional style buckle that are hard wearing and weatherproof. These buckles are not rated however have withstood the ‘pulling power’ of the two hyper hounds!

2.Stainless steel D or Bow Shackle adjustable buckle, very heavy duty All collars have a stainless steel D ring or screw gate shackle to attach your lead and council tags. TAGS:
If you opt to include a tag on your collar we source these from a Qld supplier, they are aluminium and engraved. The engraving colour is white but may appear black in some light. The tags are woven in to the collar and very secure. Most people opt for a name and number on the tag, we recommend you also add your local council tag number. CLEANING & CARE:
Our collars are washable; we recommend a normal cycle in a laundry bag. However we have it on good authority, from our number 1 customer, if you are frequent beach goers don’t bother with the laundry bag as it may just trap all the sand! Just turn your closed collar inside out and throw it in the washing machine! Each collar is hand woven, due to the nature of Paracord and the way it is finished off, the ends (which are heat sealed) may be visible on the underside of the collar. Keep in mind that although our collars are very durable and hardwearing in most instances they will exposed to the elements and rough play so please check your collar regularly for wear and tear and contact us if there are any problems. ORDERING:
You are able to choose colours based on the photos on the page or if you have a particular preference please feel free to ask and we can link you to our suppliers web page where there are 100’s of choices! Just a few tips on colours:

• If you would like more than one colour choose either two solid colours, or one solid and one multicolour (patterned/camo)…two multi colours can be a bit much together
• The tag colours are quite difficult to match exactly, we recommend you opt for a complimentary contrasting colour
• We can offer a limited rage of reflective cords, they are fantastic for night walking, and work best with a matching solid colour underneath and a silver tag. PRICE LIST:
• Collar with NO tag $25 + postage

• Collar with tag (engraved with up to 3 lines) $30.00 + postage

• Martingale Collar with hanging tag (engraved with up to 3 lines) $30.00 + postage

• Braided Lead 1.2m $22.00 + postage

• Soft Sash Lead $15.00 + postage

• Screw or push pin shackles - $5.00 extra

• Glow cord or Reflective cord - $5.00 extra

POSTAGE:
All of our orders are sent via Express Post at a flat rate of $10.55. We are more than happy to combine postage where possible. We are also happy for you to pick up your collars (we are situated in Qld on the south side of Brisbane) In some instances we may be able to deliver your collars to you and the two hyper hounds are always up for a play date on these occasions! PAYMENT:
Payments can be made by paypal or direct credit. Due to the collars and tags being personalised, payment is required before I commence making them.
* Please be aware that this is a hobby not a business, so at times there may be delays. We will always communicate any delays or problems with supply to keep you informed.

Keep your pets safe this Easter

Easter eggs

Chocolate contains a chemical called ‘theobromine’, which is toxic to dogs.

Even small amounts of the stuff can cause convulsions, heart problems, hyperexcitability and fits.

The darker the chocolate, the more potent the level of theobromine, and the more poisonous it is – and giving any type of chocolate to dogs should be avoided.

Call your vet if you dogs eats any more than 20 mg/kg of theobromine – that’s equivalent to 3.5 g/kg of plain or dark chocolate and 14 g/kg milk chocolate.

White chocolate does not contain enough theobromine to cause toxicity, but it can be fatty and pose a potential risk of pancreatitis.

Hot cross buns

Hot cross buns contain dried fruit, such as currants, sultanas and raisins – and all of these are toxic to dogs.

If your dog eats even a small quantity of these dried fruits (and grapes), they can suffer severe kidney failure which may be fatal.

Scientists don’t fully understand what it is in raisins, grapes and sultanas that makes them toxic to dogs. Some pets have ingested large quantities and felt no effects, but others – including large breeds - have died after eating just a few raisins.

Sharing just a little bit with your dog isn’t worth the risk of losing your best friend – avoid heartache by keeping them away from hot cross buns altogether.

It's been a huge year for us. I've lost count of how many collars and leads we have made, this one has been the most special one without a doubt though.
On Christmas Eve Shaun proposed to Alicia, with Dexter's help of course! Dexter looked gorgeous in his black collar with gold buckle and gold tag with the all important question engraved on it. Most importantly though was the beautiful black diamond ring Dexter was carrying for Shaun attached to his collar.
Alicia said yes, how could she not!!

Fireworks may be exciting for humans but they can be terrifying for animals. Here are a few things you can do to help ensure New Year's Eve is safer for our feathered and four-legged friends:

1) Before festivities begin, bring animals inside and ensure that your house is safe and secure.
2) Provide a haven in your home — close windows, draw blinds/curtains, turn on TV or radio for background noise
3) Some pets can become so spooked they will do anything to escape — including bolting over high fences and even through windows, so keep this in mind and make sure your property is escape-proof.
4) Make sure animals are easily identifiable (microchip, collar with your updated contact details) in case they do become lost.
5) Take your pup for a nice long walk/play during the day (provided it isn't too hot of course) so they are more likely to sleep later on
6) Don't tie up dogs as they can choke/injure themselves if they become panicked
7) Know what to do if you come across distressed wildlife around roads: www.AnimalsAus.org/ue

If in doubt, stay at home or arrange for a friend or family member to supervise your animal companions (and distract them with treats and games).
