You may or may not know, but they are under new ownership!
Ark is now owned by MVP which stands for Mission Veterinary Partners, and we actually have 2 sister hospitals in the area Willamette Veterinary Hospital also known as Wil Vet and Eastgate Veterinary Clinic. All of our clinics offer something a little different. Here at Ark Animal Hospital, we currently have 3 veterinaries. Dr. Tess Guy our Medical Director, Dr. Jilinda Lewis who is our specialist and Ortho doctor and Dr. Jeremy Clark, our GP doctor. We are a General Practice(cat/dog) with Specialty and are open Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9-3. Although we are not a true emergency clinic we do try see as many urgent and emergent cases as we can and urge our patients to call and check with us to see if we can see them here if possible. I hope this gives you a little peak into our clinic.

As you guys may know, there’s been lots of road construction in Philomath. Soon starting the end of this week and next week (6/17-6/21) Applegate st will be worked on, with just one functional lane.
On the days the lane that is used to for the entrance to our parking lot is blocked, we are asking ALL CUSTOMERS to either park on the side of our hospital on 11th St OR in our BACK parking lot!
Our employees will park in the normal front parking lot instead 😊

As we know, hairballs are a common problem with cats! As cats groom themselves they swallow a lot of dead hair that comes loose. While some hair will pass through the digestive tract, some remains in the stomach and forms a wet clump. If you cat stops eating for a few days, or is having repeated episodes of unproductive retching, consult a veterinarian as there may be a blockage.
Here’s how to prevent them!:
-Get your cat accustomed to daily brushing and combing.
-Take the cat to a groomer for haircuts once or twice a year, especially for long haired cats.
- Feed hairball remedies suggested by your veterinarian!
