Dogs naturally want to toilet away from their living area - usually, this will be your garden or, if you don’t have one, an outside area very near your home. 🏡
If you use newspaper or puppy pads overnight, pop some of the soiled paper in this area, as the smell will help your puppy know where to go to the toilet. 🚽
It’s best to let your puppy out in the garden without a lead on as it will be too restrictive. 🐾
If your puppy needs to be on a lead for whatever reason, an extendable lead is a good solution.😉

🐶What should I feed my puppy?🐶

By the time puppies are eight weeks old, they should have been weaned on solid food. 🥗
You can choose to keep them on the same puppy food or switch them to a different brand of puppy food. 🤔
Feeding your dog at the same time each day will help get them into a routine. 🐕
At four months, reduce this to three meals a day, and when they are six months old, reduce to two meals.
Avoid strenuous exercise after eating, which can lead to vomiting and potentially bloating.🐾

Pumpkin, a ten-week-old West Highland Terrier, fostered by Lincoln woman Tammie Fox, first captured the hearts of The Lincolnite readers on October 12. ❤️️
