Troy was an absolute superstar when we went out British Showjumping 2 weeks ago! 🤩🌟
Double clear in the Newcomers (1.10) to come 2nd! 😲🥈 (We even won prize money which we are not used to haha 😂)
He also jumped fantastic in the 1.15, just a bit of miscommunication at the last meant we tripped over it but I was so pleased with how he jumped!
We are having lots of fun together doing our SJ at the moment! 😁

A couple of rider errors in the earlier classes meant we had a pole in each of those but Troy was jumping well and very happy to be out!

A super lesson from Harwood Eventing
We are off to Cornbury House tomorrow for the BE Novice. I am hoping that Troy gets out of bed the right side tomorrow and remembers how fun XC is!! 😂🤞

Not quite our weekend at Llanymynech. I am over the moon on one hand and deflated on the other.

We stepped up to IN which is intermediate dressage and SJ and novice XC. I was really pleased with our dressage and we got a very respectable score of 34.8 for our first attempt at a much harder test! Troy then absolutely flew round the 1.15/1.20 SJ course super confidently having just the last part of the treble down. Very pleased with how well we did round the intermediate parts of the day!

Onto the “fun part” 😆. We started off well, but about half way round Troy had a little nappy moment, which developed into a few issues round the latter part of the course. We walked home which I was disappointed with as Troy has been feeling great round the XC in his last events. Looking back maybe I could have ridden him differently and better but that’s always the way! I will learn from this and hopefully be able to react better if/when he does this again! This is Troy and I know he can have his moments. He just wasn’t feeling the XC this weekend! I still love him more than anything and the naughty monkey knows it!

We’re going back on Wednesday to run round the course again hopefully with more success!!

As disappointed as I am with the XC and end result I still can’t believe that we completed the intermediate dressage and SJ so well and am pleased with how he went in those phases!! To even have made it to this level is amazing so very good boy Troy!! 🏇

Very pleased with our dressage, one down SJ and another fab, speedy clear XC inside the time to leave us just outside the top 10 in a section full of professionals and Olympic Gold medalists!! 🌟

Im so so pleased with how confident we’ve become at Novice and I love that Troy’s having as much fun as I am, his little ears are forwards the whole way round!! 🏇

It was our first BE this year as we’ve been doing some UA’s to get going and it was a lovely bold track with a few technical questions. Troy absolutely flew round clear and filled me with confidence! We were one of the few to finish inside the time!

I was very pleased with our dressage and despite the heat and Troy going very lazy on me in the SJ we just had the one pole early on where he made zero effort and reminded me to ride him more forwards for the rest of the round! 😂

Broadway XC video 2!! The water and the finish! 🏇💦
We had super day on Saturday competing at Broadway in the 100! 🏇🌟
After a bit of a disappointing event in the novice at Dauntsey a few weeks ago with a couple of stops and Troy just not really feeling that excited to go XC we’ve been out doing lots of schooling to try and get his confidence up and his mojo back and we seemed to have got it! (Sorry for so few updates 🤦♀️)
We got a 31.75 in the dressage which is a good score for us heading in the right direction and overall I was very pleased with the test minus a few little niggly errors (mainly our halt! 🙈)
SJ and XC Troy did 2 super clear rounds easily inside the time leaving us equal 4th on scores... however because, as always, we were quick and today 1 second quicker than the other rider we got 5th place! 🏵 I’m so pleased with this result not only because of a placing but because it’s such a huge improvement from last time out! I know it’s a level below but with Troy it’s all about his mindset, the 100 is just a bit easier for us if he’s not so keen, but I really got him going more in the warm up and he was absolutely fab! He had so much fun and stormed round the XC never once backing off or hesitating! 😀😍
