Yogi and Moose🫶

Yogi is a Weanling buckskin roan c**t that I have bucket raised since July. Yogi had a traumatic life from loosing his mom one day too traveling from Nebraska to Indiana in a matter of days at only a month old.

Despite all that he is such a trooper! He got ponyed for the first time and absolutely loved it, of course he had to add some sassiness in there at times🫣

Yogi will be available to purchase soon!

Over two months late on a fair post oops😅

Fair went pretty smoothly for me being at a motorcross race check in day😂

But Luna did absolutely fantastic and tried her hardest all week and even managed to bring home the western Horsemanship buckle.

I won Breed champ with my Weanling ewe, and class champion with my Yearling ewe.

Along with my goats I got overall purebred market wether, Overall Market doe, county born and raised, Overall Purebred doe and overall Breeding doe which was absolutely insane!!!!

A Huge thank you to everyone that helped me that week I definitely couldn’t have done it without you!

This feeling is one that I will miss, Just sitting there with the adrenaline rush waiting for the signal to go out for sight lap. Watching the lines Carefully even tho you know your not gonna take the good ones because you will forget where they are. Then when you get back to the gate you hustle to get your race goggles out, Holeshot device set and your dad yelling in your ear to be safe and go get ‘em. Then once the Two card turns around to the One, you shift into second and make sure your in the right position. Then the card goes sideways, you take one last deep breath then the gates down. Just you and 41 other riders, with one goal… To get to the turn first.

Surprise!!!

Last night classy had her c**t!

He is Bay going grey with a blue eye, blaze and two rear socks! I also think he Carries the nd1/nd2 gene!

I’m so blown away with this c**t classy really out did herself! I can’t wait to see what future he has!

Also I’m not sure what to name him yet! So barn name and Registered name ideas are welcome!

Race Season is right around the corner🥳🤟

I finally have been able to ride Now that the weather is clearing up!
But Unfortunately my arena is still super muddy and I don’t have any indoors close to me, so I’ve just been doing what I can!

As Always it’s about to get super busy around the farm! We will be kidding 6 does in the next few weeks and I also have been keeping a secret but it might be a month or two before I announce it🤫

Man what a crazy post to have to make!

So far this month two horses left to new homes that I thought I would never sell. And yes one of them was Moose.
This decision was so hard and difficult to make but with the amount of horses I have it’s hard to take them all to the level they should be at😔
Moose has hit me the hardest out of the ones I’ve sold because he helped me through the ups and downs the past two years.
But They both went to fantastic homes to become barrel and pole horses and will have very bright futures! I can’t wait to see how much they accomplish!

🍁November Addition🍁

November reminded me that’s there always good in the bad.

At the beginning of November I went to my first horse show after fair to start getting Amber seasoned again and it went ok we definitely left with homework!

But like I said in the July Recap we won’t all be together again, and that’s because on November 14th my papa unexpectedly passed away. Nothing can prepare you for that moment and the pain and bumpy roads that will follow. But I new he wouldn’t have wanted me to be sad he’s gone he would have wanted me to cherish the moments we had together and hold those close to my heart. So that’s what I’m trying to do it’s not easy but I feel like I’ve handled it better than some other pain I’ve had in the past. I guess it’s part of growing up❤️

🍂October Addition🍂

October taught me a ton about Business which I am very thankful for.

I started October off strong by selling Black betty but of course the same day I had an opportunity to shape my breeding career, me and My Mom took the shot and that was buying Sender sight unseen from Idaho. Sometimes things are men’t to be and that was one of those times! I don’t regret a thing!

Then I sold Zaviee to a great home in South Carolina and that had been the hardest yet because I raised her. But life goes on.

FFA National Convention was amazing as always and I got to meet some amazing colleges!

Then to wrap up October I had to do something cool for Halloween so why not wear a Red,White and blue Tu Tu😂

🌥September Addition🌥

September was a learning experience for me.

I sold my first resale, Sandy to Texas and dropped her of on our way to get Moose gelded!

This was a stressful time for me because I new he was a Cryptorchid but I had no clue how bad and I new I couldn’t loose him after all he’s done for me. The vet did such an amazing job and thankfully it wasn’t a bad surgery and he’s made a full recovery!

So two weeks later we went back to pick him up and brought home another resale which will be shown in the October post!

⛅️August Addition⛅️

August was a trip down memory lane! The last time me and my brother both made it to Lorettas was in 2016! I ended up getting 12th overall and had a great time hanging out with all of my friends again!

Then a few weeks later we went to a race at Ironman and I won both my classes there!!!

Once life started settling down I rode Kit Kat bridless for the first time and she did amazing!

☀️July Addition☀️

July was one month that I will forever cherish and will hold close to my heart.
Over the 4th of July my family got together to celebrate my Papa’s birthday and watch all the amazing fireworks he puts on, This year was different than others because it was our last all together.

Then the next week fair started and man it was one for the books!
I got Reserve grand champion Doe with my 3rd generation home raised doeling and got overall Grand Champion Ewe with my first Ewe I ever owned or touched😂

Then Moving on to the horses Amber did amazing and got won another high point buckle, of course I was emotional because the last time I won one I was on Izzy❤️
The next day I showed Kit Kat and she placed in every class and did amazing I was so proud of all my livestock❤️

☁️May Addition☁️

May started off strong with my first GNCC Race in 6 years! I ended up 3rd and got on the podium for the first time ever!
Then Elanore had Zoom, Me and my team went to state livestock contest and got 11th one spot from Nationals, I Sheard Ruby(my sheep) for the first time and I went to one of my first races!

Did you know that Frenchman’s guy is Hancock? Most people don’t realize that Sunfrost is A great grandson of Driftwood Ike, which is a great grandson of Joe Hancock!

Most horses that are successful today go back to Joe Hancock, Leo, Driftwood, Blue Valentine and sun frost!
These great stallions are all behind the new Performing pedigree’s!

Unfortunately Joe Hancock was born before AQHA was founded so his linage/ Offspring is hard to track down but that still doesn’t change the impact he’s made on the American Quarter Horses!

This is an Emotional post to make.
On and off on this account you’ve seen Zaviees journey from a wild Weanling to now a finished 3yr old. Today Zaviee left for her new home in South Carolina, I’m feeling so many emotions but I’m excited to hear about and see what her future holds! Love and hugs to my Zaviee girl, you taught me so much and will always be special to me!

Back this spring I decided to send his hair of to see what color he was genetically and man was I in shock when I got the results. He came back As a Perlino Roan, E/E,A/a,Cr/Cr,Rn/Rn!
I was so shocked to realize that I have such a rare pony!

I Finally Got all the Pictures off my camera last night!! Now I have good Pictures of almost all the horses! Bernie has really been putting herself together lately! Once she starts getting in shape she’s gonna be massive! She’s only about 15.1 but she’s as wide as she is tall! Love this girl!

Moose🐾

When I walked out in that pasture with 30 other c**ts, You weren’t the prettiest but something just clicked. Moose taught me what a heart horse was, He taught me what a bond is like. He pulls at my heart strings on the daily!! Moose is now two, Crazy how time flies but all the good times and memories ahead are the times I won’t forget. I might not keep him forever but My heart will never let him go🤍
