Fall seems to be coming along quite nicely!❤️ Things to be mindful of with our pets.
1) Rodent kịller: The rodents will be looking for a warm place, so be careful what you use. Make sure your pets cannot get into it or eat the deceased rodent(s).
2) Those beautiful mushrooms are popping up! You can google which ones are good & which ones are bad. It is best to keep the mushrooms out of the yard if you're not sure, if possible. When I am scooping their waste, I do remove them.
3) Chrysthemums. Who doesn't love mums! The flowers are toxic to our pets! It is ok to still have Mums. Just make sure they are not trying to snack on them.
4) The fall Crocus. Those purple flowers are also toxic!
5) Juniper berries. Those will cause organ failure over time. I know they are hard to keep the berries cleaned up. Just another good idea to watch them on.
6) The fallen leaves that have been raked into a pile for the kids & our pets to plunge into. Who can resist, right? Those piles will have fungi, fleas, ticks, spiders & snakes. Make sure you have the Pet Poison Hotline number 855-764-7661handy.
7) There are more plants, of course, but off of plants, let's keep in mind the medicine cabinet. There is Voltaren OTC & also the prescription called Diclofenac. We all have at least one pet that will try to lick the lotion off of your skin. They will try to lick this medicine, too. Make sure to be vigilant with this one. Wash your hands after applying, and before petting.
Now, go enjoy this lovely weather! And for anyone needing their cleaned up, please call (316)871-8405 for your free estimate. I have some openings & would love to tend to your pets Dooodie needs.
