Sorry for the brief break from posting! We’ve been busy taking care of so many gorgeous dogs—July & August is always a ‘barking mad’ time for us, but we wouldn’t have it any other way! 🐾
I couldn’t resist sharing this gorgeous photo of Tom with the three musketeers - Indy, Ruby, and Cleo, who we’ve absolutely loved looking after! 😍💕

🏕️🌲🐾 This weekend, 4 Paws hit the road and took the pooches camping! We don’t often have quiet weekends, so we seized the opportunity and took the doggies on their own little holiday! We enjoyed some gorgeous walks, met some friends of the cow kind 🤣, and snuggled inside when the rain decided to come down! What a gorgeous trip, with two gorgeous dogs! 🐶❤️

𝟱 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 🐶

1. Doggy Paddling Pool: Provide a fun place for your pet to splash around and cool off. Pop in some dog toys for added fun. We have used and recommend Nobleza (non-slip) — all items linked below.

2. Access to Fresh Water: Always have clean, fresh water available. Top tip: add some ice cubes for a longer-lasting cooler bowl, and for extra cool water, pop your dog's water bowl in the fridge to chill and then add the water.

3. Doggy Ice Creams: Make your own Pup-Pops (check out my recipe highlights) or purchase a high-quality option. We’ve tried and tested ‘Woof & Brew,’ which were a huge hit!

4. Pet Cooling Mats: Opt for premium cooling mats that are non-toxic and don’t heat up in the sun instead of the standard cheaper options. We love ‘Clover Dog Mats.’ We also love ‘dog cooling jackets.’

5. Monitor for Overheating: As we know, dogs pant as a sign that they are getting hot, but did you know that your dog's paws, ears, and nose are also signs to check for overheating? Check paws and ears for heat, and always ensure the nose is cool and wet; it shouldn’t be dry to touch.

Extra Tip: Ensure your dog walker has air conditioning or a Flettner (spinning device on the top of vans), which ensures your pet is transported in a safe and cool environment, this is crucial especially in hot weather.

Aww, we have absolutely loved our time with these gorgeous spaniels! I think it’s safe to say Belle and Rosie have equally seemed to enjoy their stay too, from non-stop playtime with unlimited 4 Paws fur friends and woodland walkies to evening chilled naps with belly tickles. We are thrilled to announce that following our recent council inspection, 4 Paws Pet Services has once again been awarded the highest possible rating for our Doggy Daycare and Homeboarding Pet Facility - 5 Stars!

Achieving this rating is an absolute privilege. It’s wonderful to know that all the ‘behind the scenes’ work we do every day to ensure that every animal in our care receives the utmost attention and exceptional care has paid off, and we are absolutely over the moon!

Having earned the top rating consecutively over the past few years, we are proud to share that our 5-star license will now be valid for the next three years, which isn’t something every daycare is offered.

Our Dog Squad members absolutely love their time at 4 Paws, and we adore having them here with us. A huge heartfelt thank you goes to all our amazing and loyal customers for your unwavering support. Nora will be joining Tom for 1-1 Puppy Training followed by Doggy Daycare sessions to complement the training and improve her socialisation skills.
