These two angel fish species are a milestone for larval rearing in Brest!
Stemming from the recent partnership between MERS and Océanopolis for marine ornamental larval rearing research destined to public aquariums, the teams of both establishments proudly share their latest success: Genicanthus melanospilos and Centropyge eibli. 🐠
Their adult coloration is developing 50 days post hatch!

A small video to show you why captive bred Synchiropis splendidus are very interesting, they easily eat some pellets !!
They are around 4 months old and they measure around 1.5cm 😁

Still Synchiropus splendidus but they are just little older !!
At this stage, they begin to eat some pellets 👊. We can see coloration is not completly finished.
Toujours des Synchiropus splendidus mais juste un peu plus vieux.
A cet âge là, ils commencent à manger des granulés. Et nous observons que la coloration n'est pas complètement terminée.
