It's been a while since we have posted. This is Rosie, one of our current fosters. She came to us very malnourished with a litter of 6 pups. Even as malnourished as she was, she never hesitated to nurse her pups. As you can tell from the picture below, she is now healthy and ready for a family to love and care for her as much as she cared for her pups.

How about a Transformation Tuesday post today??

This is Rosie when she first came into rescue and then after 6 weeks of proper care and nutrition. Rosie is a precious girl who is now healthy and she is ready for a family who will love and care for her. She is around 1-2 years old. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and on all preventives. She is good with other dogs, but her energy can be overwhelming to older/less active dogs.

A little about Rosie from her fosters:
She has gone from "I don't know what a toy is" to "I'm gonna chase this toy, but not sure what to do once I get to it" to "Ok, now I have this toy but still don't know what to do with it" to "OMG!!! TOYS ARE THE BEST THINGS EVER!!!" Now, she will un-stuff every stuffed toy she gets ahold of. She loves to snuggle and be babied. She especially loves belly rubs. She is super sweet, but she can also be a bit much because she feels so good now and she has LOTS of energy. When we come home she will audibly demand that we give her attention/affection. She may have an occasional accident in the house, but she is crate trained and almost never has an accident in her kennel. She loves to play in the fenced yard.

Well it has been a hot minute since we have posted. Been busy here at the Dean household. We are currently fostering 6 dogs. Three of them (Leo, Piper, and Blu) are going to their forever homes this weekend!

We have the following looking for their forever homes. Please feel free to share and help us find them a family of their own 😊.

Laney is a 6 month old black lab mix. She loves to give kisses, chew on her bone bones, cuddling her stuffy toys, and goes to her kennel like a big girl for treats. Laney is super submissive and will make a great family pet.

Daisy is a 1 year old white and tan pit mix. She LOVES all the cuddles! Her favorite place to be is snuggled up with her person. She had the happiest of tails. Her tail was a little too happy and was slightly docked since the tip was breaking off and would not properly heal. Daisy is doing great and healing wonderfully. She has a BIG pittie smile and an even bigger pittie heart!

Last but certainly not least is Marley our tan 10 year old dachshund mix. Though he can be a bit sassy at first once he finds his person he is all about snuggles, hugs, and kisses. He has been neutered and is now looking to find his forever family.

Did you see the post on the hearts page about this girl Drea? How she was shot in the chest Saturday but luckily it missed all her organs and was just underneath her skin on her side. How someone can do this I will never understand. Drea is just the sweetest pup. She hasn't left my side since she came home yesterday. Last night was a bit rough she had several nightmares throughout the night but she woke up between us in the big bed and we were able to reassure her everything was ok. No one is going to harm you anymore. Your safe now baby girl.

We are still busy at the Dean house. All our Catahoula pups and their momma have been adopted except for Montana. She is such a sweetie and loves to give all the kisses! Also meet our newest friend Chase. He is the cuddliest of bugs and looking for his forever home too.

These pups are 7 weeks old this week. They love to dog pile up for naps even though they have a huge corral to sleep and play in.

The puppies are starting to escape the pool....so now we are in a corral with our momma. They are all enjoying the extra room for their wiggly walking booties. Currently they are all taking a post milk nap.

These puppies are the cutest 😍😍😍look at these snuggly little fluff balls. Boy am I going to have my hands full though as all 9 of them are beginning to open them eyes and wiggle all over.

Happy Fourth of July from the Deano Doggos! We are pleased to announce our newest foster and her lovely babies. Ms Liberty had her babies around June 23rd (my birthday). They were found a couple days later under someone's storage shed. Momma Liberty is the MOST AMAZING DOG IN THE WORLD. She is a great momma and an excellent girl. She knows basic commands, is super loving, and has been so trusting of us. These babies are gorgeous just like their momma!

Bree is such a snuggly sweetie. She is a bit shy at first. Bree loves playing with stuffies and giving kisses. This love bug will make someone a great family member. Bree has had her first round of shots, dewormer, and has been spayed.

What a difference a week can make. These feral pups have really come out of their shell. Rusty is super soft and snuggly. His sister Bree is shy but once she warms up gives all the kisses! They are enjoying some snuggle time in the big bed.

Our rescued feral puppies from Friday night. They were TERRIFIED of humans and ready to protect themselves. With just a few short days of patience and knowing they don't have to scrounge for food anymore they are playing, giving snuggles, giving kisses, and really started to thrive! Meet our friends Rusty (brindle boy), Georgina (brown girl), and Bree (black and brown girl).

After some hardwork by our director and her helper they were able to trap the feral mommas yesterday and get them to safety where they can be clean, dry, and have full bellies too. No momma left behind.

Our newest member Lil Bo (Bocephus). When I saw him and read his story I cried. Lil Bo was wandering around an old country road and had been for some time. A good samaritan found him and contacted Hearts for help. We HAD to help this kid. He has had it rough you can tell from all his old wounds. He is underweight and no telling how long he has been on his own. Lil Bo was absolutely covered in ticks and is hw positive. This kid has my heart. He is the sweetest boy and just wants to be petted and loved. Bo craves human affection so much he will fall asleep standing up while you pet him. He has slept most of the time since Friday. We call it the rest of Rescue because he knows now he is safe and he is loved. Money is super tight for everyone, especially this little rescue, but he NEEDED us. He is going to take some time to recover and heal. Now I ask for your help. If you could spare even a dollar to help with his heartworm treatment it will make a big difference. This Bo has the sweetest most beautiful soul and this foster has fallen head over heels in love with him. Please, if you can, help us by donating and/or sharing this post. Between all of us working together we can help this sweet boy heal and live the best life ever!

Day one of our foster mom working from home. Mom said we kept barking as soon as she got a work call.....so she moved her makeshift office into the guest room. Not us we are perfect angels.

The puppies enjoyed their first time playing out in the grass today! It was a little wet but that's what towels are for right?!?!? They were all pooped out after running zommies with the other puppos. Look at this precious Charlie sleepy face! Pictures just don't do them justice.

These puppies have gotten so Big!!! All over 9 pounds now. Charlie started at 1.13lbs Goose and Maverick at 2.5. 7 weeks old tomorrow. My how these past 5 weeks have flown!

Our newest foster Buddy. He was found after being thrown from a car over a year ago by a good samaritian. Unfortunately his adoptive family is unable to keep him so he came back to hearts and is available for adoption. He is a cuddle bug and makes an excellent foot warmer in bed on these cold nights. He is a 4 year old min pin mix, up to date on vaccinations, and has been neutered.

We are not enjoying this rainy cold wet weather. But we did have some outdoor sun time over the weekend at least! Noel loved sunbathing. This 8 month old border collie mix girl is ready for adoption! She is crate trained, spayed, vaccinated, on hw preventative, and working on house training. She would LOVE to meet you at the Poplar Bluff Petco Meet and Greet on Saturday ❤🐕❤🐶

They are reimbursing adoption fees from now until February 21st. I know some kiddos that would LOVE to be adopted 😉😉😉

The announcement comes a day after a Kansas City Chiefs player paid for every dog adoption through a local shelter.

Little Miss Noel got her cast off today Yay! She also got a nice bath with oatmeal and lavender this afternoon. After the initial "what is this" moment she loved taking a bath. Noel is such a beautiful girl and so loving.
