We’ve said it before- but we are so grateful for the community we get to work in, and especially to all of you who follow our page and support our journey! And now, we are reaching out to this amazing community for help. Meet Daisy! Daisy was scheduled for euthanasia due to overcrowded shelters. She was pulled and saved by Dizzy Dog Rescue, and has been boarded at a kennel since February. Dante’s Dog Farm has donated a basic obedience package to help her find a home, and she’s doing wonderfully here! However, as we approach the end of her training, we have come to the sad realization that Daisy will be returning to boarding as she does not have a family or even a foster to go home to. And because of this, her training likely will not stick as she’ll have nobody to work on it with her and reinforce it. Along with Dizzy Dog Rescue, we are networking to try to find Daisy a foster or adoptive family willing to open their hearts and home to her. She comes with the Dante’s Dog Farm training guarantee, so we will be her support every step of the way wherever she goes! This is Solo 🖤
Solo was found about a month ago with a yellow rope tied around his neck. He was taken in by some Good Samaritans, and after trying to find his owner, a member of the family decided to adopt him, and brought him to us for evaluation and training. He’s been with us for almost 3 weeks now!
Below is a video of Solo’s first outing! This smart wonderful boy has gone from fairly unhandled, with no concept of leash walking, to taking on tractor supply like a champ in just about a month. We are so proud of him! Way to go, Solo!

We’ve made several posts mentioning our use of our pet goats as distractors in obedience. Well, here’s a little taste of this model in action!
This charming boy is Takoda, who is nearing completion of his 3 week obedience program. He knows his stuff, time to put him to the test!
Our process first ensures your dog is competent and comfortable with their obedience in low distracting environments. Then we slowly up the ante, with the expectation that they still adhere to what they know even when there are outside stimuli which they would “really really rather pay attention to!!”
Takoda passed this test with flying colors! Even being a herding breed, in the midst of goats which we’re sure look so much fun to chase, this smart boy had his best listening ears on. Well done, Takoda!
