SURPRISE‼️ We decided to do one more litter this year with Miss Eowyn, so she has officially been paired with Oakly and we are crossing our fingers for some pups right around Christmas. ☺️

Miss Rosie had her first practice at stacking on the table today; she was a little unsure of it, but we used LOTS of cookies and she did great! (She had just had a bath and we’re still getting used to the blow dryer, so forgive the half-wet coat. 😂)

These two have officially been bred, and we are SO excited‼️ With any luck, we will have some little nuggets arriving just before Christmas. ☺️

Forgive me for getting on my soapbox for a minute…

I am passionate about this incredible breed; having worked professionally with thousands of dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, I can honestly say that this breed has the potential to be an ideal companion for any home and lifestyle, which is something that our society desperately needs.

HOWEVER, this takes a group of breeders working together to select for the right traits. It takes educating the public on where/why to purchase a well-bred dog so that we limit the number of undesirable traits being passed along and labeled part of the “Pomsky” makeup.

The AKC judge that attended the recent show was overwhelmingly complimentary. She commented how impressive it was that for such a young breed club, we have made significant progress with developing a breed type, publishing our illustrated breed standard, and providing educational opportunities for our breeders and members. As the newest member of the Board of Directors for APKC, I can tell you personally how much work (all volunteer, btw) goes on behind the scenes to make this happen. But we can’t do it alone.

YOU can make a significant difference in the progression of this breed. Help us host more shows to bring breeders together, provide educational resources to breeders and pet owners alike, and ensure that those Pomskies bred by unethical breeders do not end up in shelters.

Officially introducing the newest member of the Arctic Tails family—

LJ’s Painting the Roses Red of Arctic Tails (“Rosie”) 🌹

We were able to pick this beautiful girl up while at the show this past weekend, and she has been a DREAM puppy throughout the chaos of traveling. We are SMITTEN. 😍 As long as all goes well, she will be a future mama for us! Thank you, LJ Kennels Pomskies, LLC for this li’l bit of perfection!
