As a mother, I gave birth to three daughters in three years and had to quit my job to focus on them. My husband and I faced financial difficulties that made it hard to feed our family and pay our children's school fees. Eventually, we had to make the tough decision to withdraw our children from school.
I came across homeschooling through blogs and decided to do more research. With the little knowledge I gained, I modified our dining area to create a school-like space with educative pictures, and created a timetable that included fun and playtime as well as chat time with me. I also got a professional family teacher to provide curriculums for each subject.
Though teaching and researching was challenging, and some people made negative comments about homeschooling, I was determined to get the best results. After just three months, I was surprised by how well my daughters performed in their academics and beyond. Homeschooling positively affected their spiritual and social life as well.
Over five years later, my daughters are now aged 7, 8, and 9, and they are confident, intelligent, and have started their own kid's talk show on social media. Through this experience, I discovered my passion for homeschooling and learned that challenges do not break us but rather make us.
