Want to stand out? Want to be able to take your horse anywhere, on any adventure? Want a sound, sane, and talented young horse that you can finish in any direction? Then you need to meet Happy Feet!
Happy Feet is a 4 year old Appaloosa mare standing 15 hands high. This is the type of horse that can go in any direction and be successful. She has a superb canter, cute trot, and has been very brave and honest over fences (both in the ring and out xc). She is a trail blazer, loves to swim, and will happily ride out anywhere. And to top it all off, she has shown us that she has the brains and talent for the show ring, hunt field, trails, and anything in between.
In the ring, Happy Feet has a smooth and flowy walk, trot, and canter. She is balanced, has good rhythm, and has offered flying changes. Happy is learning about connection, lateral work, and basic dressage. She loves to jump, and has been started over small courses in the ring, and has been introduced to all types of fences and questions out on the cross country course. She has jumped banks, ditches, water, coupes and more. Though at 4 years old, she is still green, she is very safe and simple to ride and work with. She is regularly ridden by juniors and amateurs and can take a joke, and is tolerant of rider mistakes. She has been used for kids lessons, leadline, and guided trail rides.
On the trails and outside of the arena, Happy Feet is in her element. This mare is an absolute trail master. She loves to go on beach rides, swim, trail ride, and go xc schooling. This is the type of horse that would love a job where she can explore and adventure with her rider. She has a great attitude and is always willing to go new places. She is used to hopping in the trailer to go schooling or to other farms for lessons.
In the barn, Happy Feet is friendly and curious. However, if you are looking for “a mare with a gelding personality”, this is not your girl. Happy Feet knows her manners, but she is a mare with personality. She will pin her ears at feeding time, give you the mare-stare, and maybe even swish her tail if she’s feeling extra sassy. But, she has more heart, try, and love in her than any other horse in the barn. Happy Feet gets turned out in a mixed herd, and despite her mare tendencies, gets along well with both mares and geldings. She enjoys living out, and generally only comes inside if it is storming or extremely hot out. She is the easiest keeper, stays fat on air, and requires no maintenance.
Take her home and make yourself a nice little show horse, or go straight for the trails and have a safe and enjoyable mount for years to come!
