Morning snuggles are always Oscar’s favorite.

Oscar hasn’t received one application 😿
How can that be? Just look at those big baby blue eyes.

Oscar has been through so much and deserves to find his forever home. He has endured being homeless and going through two entropion surgeries. Through it all he has kept his sweet, with some occasional sass, personality.

Oscar is fully vetted, negative for FIV/Felv and up to date on flea/tick prevention.

Oscar gets along well with other cats and dogs and likes being around their company.
He would do best with older children 10+ or with no children as he will sometimes bite when overstimulated.

To meet Oscar please complete an application at feralct.org.

It takes a special person willing to adopt a shy cat but it takes some REALLY REALLY special to adopt two shy kitties.

We are so grateful to Mount Carmel Veterinary Hospital for showing these two cats that trusting humans can be a good thing!

These two kitties are incredibly lucky! We only wish more shy cats would be given this chance-nothing is more rewarding than when a shy cat starts to trust.

Happy lives Squirrel and Pinto ♥️

We were contacted about a colony of cats were some were some appear friendly by this video. We will be going tomorrow to assess. We are limited with placement for friendly cats since we don’t have a facility so, unfortunately, are only able to provide tnr (trap/neuter/return). These cats have not been vetted and will only be assessed tomorrow. Fostering can be fun and rewarding but it’s also a commitment. If anyone is interested in learning about the fostering process please let us know by contacting us at feralct.org. We are hoping to find fosters for the friendly cats living within this colony. You will need to live within 30 min of Cheshire in order to utilize our vet partners for medical care.

Who can resist those baby blues!

Oscar has been through so much in his life yet continues to have hope and trust.

Oscar, age 3, was found as a stray living outside looking for food and shelter but soon befriended a couple who wanted to keep him but was unable due to an impending divorce. Oscar was taken to the vet where it was determined he had entropian which is a painful condition where the eyelid rolls inward, causing the eyelashes and skin to rub against the surface of the eye.
At this time, the couple made the decision to turn over ownership to FFCC. Oscar underwent surgery for the entropian, recovered and was adopted!
Well, his adoption was mere days and was returned back to FFCC. Truth be told Oscar had bitten his adopter, even though with full disclosure prior to adoption, we made sure the person adopting was aware of his quirky personality. Upon arriving back to FFCC after 48 hours his foster noticed his eyes watering where it was determined the entropian had reared its ugly head again (not uncommon).
Fast forward five months and Oscar has recovered from his second entropian surgery and is ready to find a loving home who will show patience and kindness.
Oscar just loves and craves attention! If given the opportunity he would love to sleep with you or just sit with you while watching tv, however, you need to read and understand his body language. Meaning, when his tail starts to flicker he is done being pet and if that’s not respected he will bite!
Oscar loves to play, eat his treats and absolutely loves the company of other cats and dogs. He is fully vetted (neutered, up to date vaccines, and free of parasites).
Oscar would do best in a home without young children and with an experienced cat owner. He would also be thrilled to live with a feline or canine companion.

These beauties are available through Friends of Feral Cheshire Cats.

These sweet girls are looking for a home (not bonded). They are fully vetted, dog acclimated and just waiting for a warm lap to snuggle on.
They would do best in a home with older children (10 and up).

To meet this beautiful girls please complete an application feralct.org.

😻😻Happy Caturday Day Pinto (top) and Squirrel.

These sweet kittens are from a TNR program and are dog exposed, fully vetted and have no health concerns.

They do not need to go to the same home but they shouldn't be the only pet.

Animal Friends please read, sign and share!

The evidence continues to pile up against the Cheshire ACO. This is incredibly disturbing and gets worse each day.
Thanks to the FOIA we have received information that is so damning.
There was significant neglect done by Cheshire ACO during the past two years after 28 small dogs were seized from an abuse situation.
These dogs went from an abuse situation to a neglect situation resulting in 3 deaths.

We ask that you sign and share.
Thank you!

Meet Giblet:
Envision braving sub-freezing temperatures, searching for warmth just hours before a snowstorm was to hit.
Envision the distress of this young kitten, clearly a lost pet, with the indent around her neck revealing a missing collar. Despite exhaustive efforts, including door-to-door inquiries and advertisements, whoever owned her never came forward.
Luckily, Giblets future adopter will inherit a true gem.
Giblet is approx 9-10 weeks old and has received her first distemper vaccine, tested negative for feline aids and leukemia and negative for internal parasites. She will receive her remaining vaccines, microchipping and spay in a few weeks.
Giblet is as playful as she is adorable and needs to go into a home with another young cat. She craves the attention from other cats but also seeks out human attention and will be sure to provide her future adopter with plenty of cuddles.
To meet Giblet please contact us by completing an application by going to feralct.org.

You DO NOT need to be a Cheshire resident!
You can reside anywhere! The outrage for this situation is felt all around us!
This ACO has to be stopped from hurting any more animals!

This is one of the most despicable and neglectful ACO’s I have ever known.

Please read, sign and share.

These are NOT allegations. These are facts based on photos, FOIA, and Dept of Agriculture!

Oscar update: two weeks post surgery and fingers crossed Oscar’s entropian surgery was successful.
The vet was pleased with the way both eyes were healing. He will keep his cone on for another few days then recheck in one month and fingers crossed that by March we will have this handsome fella up for adoption!

Some of you may remember Oscar who had to undergo entropian surgery back in August. Unfortunately, he needs the surgery again. Oscar will have surgery Wednesday morning for what we hope will put him back on the road to recovery.

Entropian surgery is a surgical procedure that corrects a condition in cats where the eyelid rolls inward and touches the cornea. The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and involves removing a small wedge of skin and fur from the eyelid margin.

This procedure is quite costly but isn’t an option for him not to have the surgery.

We will keep you all posted.

Introducing Polly!

Polly was a stray that a kind person had taken into their home and vetted.
She is approximately one year old, spayed, up to date on vaccines and negative for feline leukemia and aids.

She loves all the attention she can get, cuddles and is quite the talker. Polly would prefer to be the only animal in the home which is typical tortie style😽

Your generosity has helped us to help community cats for the last 18 years! Now, until December 25th, you can do twice as much through our matching donation challenge. This allows us to do even more for feral and stray cats. $85 spays or neuters one feral cat (including vaccines). Now that donation will fix 2 cats to help humanely reduce overpopulation! And that frees up more funds to help cats with other medical needs! Please help us to make the new year a little brighter for stray and feral cats!

Desperately looking for a foster with experience with shy NOT feral cats.
This absolutely stunning kitty has so much potential to live a safe and happy life indoors.
She is approximately 8 months old and has a gorgeous solid white coat with beautiful blue eyes.
She is from a colony we are working on and before I have to release her back outside I am hoping for a miracle by finding someone patient to work with her on learning to trust humans.
I am able to hold onto her until Friday but will need to release by the weekend. Please know this is not easy for us to release a cat with potential but without a foster we are at a loss.

Please share and consider fostering this beauty.
