Kimmy’s Rabbitry Hi! Welcome to Kimmy’s Rabbitry. I am a closed rabbitry working on Vienna rex and meatmutts Here at Kimmy's Rabbitry I breed towards SOP.

I also focus on personality, hardiness and mothering skills. While I breed towards SOP, I will be focusing on colors that are not accepted currently by ARBA. Magpies specifcally while still offering colors accepted by ARBA.

Darcey was hiding satin in her lines and now I don’t know what I want to do with my herd 🙃 Brienne has three different fur types of chesnut. In the second picture, left to right Normal, Satin, Rex. Satin was the surprise. Rex was expected and so was normal coat. Rezas sound like so much fun but my vm Rex project is on F2. Decisions decisions..

Aemma x viserys surviving two sallanders ❤️ Aemma had three but she accidentally over groomed one and it died. She has been a great mom to these two! Keeping them warm even with how small the litter is and they have had plenty of milk all to themselves 😂 She was rebred to viserys and should be due 5/12. Hoping for a bigger litter 🤞

Well much to my surprise Brienne whose previous litters were only 2 and 3 decided to have 7 this time! Found out both her and camillo got REW from their mother instead of chin. Which I love rew but was really hoping for a new line of chins 😤 3 chesnut, 2 Black, 2 REW.

Oh and remember Ariel? The one that pulled so much fur I was so sure she was pregnant? Well she bamboozled me again and she infact did not produce a litter. Despite her type being the best Iv produced so far, if a doe will not breed they have no purpose here. She will be removed from the program.

I gave Ariel whose due in E I G H T DAYS (eternity) a nestbox yesterday because her mother Luisa likes to nest early and I use it as almost a pregnancy test 😂 When I went out to check on the rabbits I was not expecting a nest let alone this much FUR!

Viserys viserys viserrrrys ☹️ Despite coming from a 9lb Mom and Dad was at least over 7 lbs, viserys is only 6lbs. Which is not acceptable. It might be because his litter was separated early at 4 ish weeks maybe 5(I generally like to keep them together until 7 weeks) but even then 6lbs is just too small. He also grew a shoulder which is why I will never get excited about rabbit type again until 6 months 😂 I’m gonna include his pictures from when he was grow out and a picture now. He was bred to his sister Aemma who is bigger than him and vm so we will see if viserys is a vc and maybe the line breeding will amplify their moms big girl genes 😕 I will be watching that litter’s weights very closely. Either way Viserys will be culled from the program.

Look whose due tomorrow 😏 It’s been a very very long 5 and 1/2 months of no litters 😪 but alas look who has jumping beans in there tummy 🥰 Luisa was bred to Pinto who was residing at Bolton's Burrow. These babies will be F2 Vm Rex! Cross your fingers for babies with decent blazes 🤞🤞🤞

Today I tackled the rabbit room and cleaned and put away some cages and put grow outs in their new permanent cages. It’s no secret that Iv been toying with the idea of getting out of rabbits all together or reducing my numbers greatly. I think I got overwhelmed with life and put these guys on the back burner and then got overwhelmed with the thought of how much it’s going to take to get back to being in schedule with cleaning and culling. But today, I realized while I am sore and dirty as hell 🤣 I am truly at peace in the rabbit room. It’s like my brain shuts off and just thinks about what’s going on at the moment (rabbit poop💀) and if you know me, that’s literally unheard of 😅. I’m a pretty anxious gorl. Im happy I decided to stick it out with them and I’m determined to make my happiness(rabbits) one of my top priorities. Anyways! Enough of my sappy crap, here’s a video of Aemma(F1 Vm Rex) in her new digs 😊
